If we get Shiel, that would just about do me. Unless it was a salary dump and Essendon’s first rounder came with it.

We are the worst turnover side in the comp, and Shiel is one of the worst turnover players in the game. He is also one soft tissue injury away from being completely cooked.

I'm pretty sure Shiel is OOC at the end of the year

Much still to happen, we shouldn't be afraid of losing players because we will always gain players. The team list should always be changing in order for us to get new players in so we don't stagnate. Brad's list started to stagnate by 2016.

Which of norths current midfielders would Shiel replace output?

Phillips? Lazzaro? Shiels? Greenwood?
Certainly wouldn’t be ahead of Powell, Wardlaw and LDU and above names are pretty debatable as well.

I'd suggest those I highlighted out of the four you mentioned, will individually be lucky to be on our list for season 2025.

HFF - we have them coming out of our behind.
CHF - definitely.
FP - desperately.
BP - a defensive one, agree.
HBF - see HFF.
Wingman - currently pretend to HBF's.
Backup Ruck - One 18yo and one about to be set Free.

Don't think we can attract a 'quality' A grader even a B+ grade trade in our current form so it has to be internal development with mature FA's at either a mature 28-30+ former A graders or a punt of VFL/WAFL/SANFL players that can do these job and teach whilst the kids come up...
After todays effort, we need some vocal leadership as much as players.

Dyson Sharp would go number 1 in this draft, was bog vs the Allies today. Hopefully we're off the bottom next year but if we're not it would be catastrophic not having access to him. Also I doubt Adelaide would accept that trade, West Coast offered their future 1st for pick 8 last year and Adelaide said no
