Gee we've been down this road before haven't we? If true and sounds like it is, who leaks this stuff? His manager perhaps as a bargaining tool? Hmm.. sounds all too familiar.

Nope nope nope, it's a bust from the outset.

Turning 31 as a midfielder with history of injuries. Unless the club knows things we don't, it's a big no.

No to wines and parker.

We just need some b grader with some experience to complement the youngsters.

It's always the manager and in this case, Colin Young, enough said!

The guy is more obvious than a snake on a bowling green!

Edit: Let's not forget that Clarko and Young, have a fairly strong "relationship" as such.

Yeo, hmm, I’m not sure.
Positive - he’s a gun, can play back and midfield
Negatives - 31 next season, injury prone, would it alienate LDU, $3m ain’t spare change

Yeo = no thanks, you can't trust his body won't break down especially groin injuries at his age...last time he played a full season was 2019!!
If we're massively front loading it then his body doesn't worry me, if it's excess salary room. That makes it lower risk.

And he's not a bad or weak character. He'll bring value when he can play and won't be soft.

I think Luke Parker might be a year older then Yeo, but :

Luke Parker : 2021 23 games, 2022 25 games, 2023 23 games,

Elliot Yeo : 2021 12 games, 2022 5 games, 2023 10 games,

Open and shut case really

I'd be telling LDU its for his benefit then getting Yeo to sacrifice most of his game for LDU, blocking and shepherding, then switching it up every now and then. He might get injured a bit more doing that but it earns him his money.

But I dunno if its the best use of our resources.

LDU and Jye both benefitted from having players like JZ, Jed and to an extent Cunners to block and shepherd for them and work off the ball to create space when they were younger. Having a big bodied player who can do that for them now would give them a little bit more freedom which they are more than capable of taking advantage of. It will be a waste of their peak athleticism if they have to do that for the younger guys. Exclusively at least. Greenwood would be ideal but he doesn't get a go. Xerri could help as well but a gun mid like Yeo who was prepared to sacrifice their game and work with them off field would be perfect.

I've seen JZ do it for LDU and block two opposition players so LDU could run into space and make one of highlight runs for the season.

I guess the real issue is the value we get from him vs a cheaper player who can function just as a meat shield. Cos that's all they really need.

That's a good argument.

Only thing, Parker is at a side who you'd expect to finish top four for at least this and next season. Maybe longer. He might genuinely be a chance at playing in a GF side for Sydney in the next two years. We can't offer that.

What sort of injuries has Yeo had?

I think hip and groin/OP but not really sure, Parker was no certainty to get in Swans midfield before suspension, and they still have Callum Mills to slot back in, if not this year for a GF, the chances after that might be goneski.

We don't really just want a meat shield. We want someone who brings their own threat, as well.

Not disagreeing with this at all, but do you think Xerri has been helping LDU a bit this year, in composition to Goldie? The way he seems to rove his own ball and move guys out of his way, almost looks like he is doing half the required job
