In fairness we're not super sexy atm and not sure we will be within 36 months.

You'd be near barking mad to come over unless we overpay and give you to many years.
Any players got mates at other clubs they can trick into joining?

Jy Simpkin and Clayton Oliver are best mates, on a podcast they did together they joked that they have been trying to play together.

I assume it sits if Clayton wants to stay at Melbourne, or wants a fresh start. It could be a pick trade and salary dump to get Clarry over to the Roos; however, comes with a big contract cost and also some potential issues off-field.

Tarryn Thomas - Clayton Oliver straight swap, no backsies.

Send Jy to Melbourne instead,,,

Surely if we packaged up a few, it would get the deal done.

CCJ, Corr, McDonald.

Put a massive offer in front of Darcy Fogarty and work out a draft deal that means they get Draper.

It won’t matter how amazing these kids are, s**t culture manufactures s**t players. That pick is better used on players to build the culture, it will change the club. We’ve done the tried and true method by taking the picks and have enough high quality youth in key parts of the ground.
Agreed, it is becoming very clear that our culture has a negative impact on otherwise-strong contributors. Serious question though: is getting other experienced players in going to change that culture? The Tuckers and Corrs and Stephens' of the world haven't exactly lit our world on fire. Or is it more that we need leadership (coaches and positive players) to implement a systemic internal plan to change things from within?

Those types of players came on the cheap and not the needle movers we need. With the draft capital we have, bypass these sorts of guys and get a Jordan Dawson type, an out contract/go home factor type budding star. Yes its a hard sell, but dump a truck load of cash and our picks on the table and it will net someone. Be extremely selective with the type of player however.

Yeah maybe. We'd probably need more than one to make any serious kind of dent, though. I think you'd want at least two or three in one burst.

You just have to look at Lachie Neale and Linc McCarthy, two guys in different pay brackets, but both entered a basket case united together to take a shitshow football club forward. Sheezel is a trailblazer for us but if he has no help it will burn him and it will kill us.

That'd be ideal. They don't have to be elite but they have to be very good and dependable - two players of say Logue's ilk at the same time would have a big flow on impact.

Keen to hear what people think.

What should be our number one preference, a ready made key forward to help Larkey, or a ready made Key defender?

Im leaning towards forward.
Depends on how Comben finishes the season and how Logue comes back.

Logue, Comben, K Dawson, W Dawson coming through.

Up forward its Larkey then CCJ, Sellers or Maley.

I'd be looking at a forward personally.

Forward, every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

The last time Larkey had genuine KPF support was 2019 when BBB was playing fit.
