This board's trade discussion is odd...
We are mercilessly mocking WCE for valuing Baker at Pick 14.
The general consensus was Baker is worth a decent 2nd rounder eg pick 25.
Points value difference 14 - 25 = 434 points.
While simultaneously...
Most here are happy that Bolton is worth 10 and 18
AND some of whom can talk about adding in pick 30 to get the deal done.
Pick 30 = 454 points.
Why is one absoutely nothing but dumb while the other is reasonable?

Stop using points unless talking about father son or accademy players.

Or at least, use the points from next year's system which is half fair.

we're in the window.

west coast are... not

when you have a legit shot at the brass ring, you roll the dice. swing for the fences.

you don't do this when you're whatever the f WC are rn

I'll be staggered if we trade out an F1-F3 with Warner on the table.
This is possibly set to be the first time since future pick trading started that we’re keeping our F2, it feels strange and unnatural

List profile, we’re not rebuilding

We aren't in the early stages of a rebuild like WC are. We're adding the cream on top.

Point system is broken so not a good way to judge trades. WC also split pick 3 for Baker so it is a considerably dumber idea.

They basically lost the next Sheezle for Chesser & Baker.

On comparison to Freo it looks like we are trading the next Ras & Sturt for Bolton.

All for west coast cooking their rebuild with this trade but why did they have to let Carlton benefit. Wonder if they will pull off another Paddy Dow special with pick 3 this year.
Petracca or draft

True, you can't really think of draft picks like money. It's about what's available at that pick, which is both variable (both in real and perceived terms) and limited. It's more like real estate.

They gave up pick 3
