Flying. Bloody impressive and hasn't missed a session

I don't know what happened at Port but he looks fit and happy and has fitted in well. What has amazed me is his pace. He is lightning and in match sims has made a big difference to our forward half. Real X factor and has a presence

Adding he and Hollands for bugger all has been a master stroke by our recruiting team
If you go back to his first year at Port, 2021, I remember thinking "geeze Port have pinched a good player here".

Averaged 2 goals a game. Only two games where he didn't kick a goal. Kicked two bags of 4 goals, one of which was in the QF.

Averaged 3.3 i50s too.

I've rated him since that year, he just couldn't get his body right. Of his body holds up and he gets back to that 2021 form, we've found a potential 40+ goals a year player. Will supplement the two big boys nicely.

Imagine it...
Curnow 60 goals
McKay 40-50 goals
Fantasia 40 goals
Owies/ Motlop/ Martin = 20-30 goals each
Cottrell/ EHollands/ TDK = 10-20 each

Hard to top that!!

I'd prefer Charlie crack the tonne on top of everyone else piling on those goals too.

Walsh, Hollands x2 and Cerra to improve their delivery inside is the key imo.

According to Port supporters it sounds like Ken signed his tickets early last season. Fanta had broken down to many times to trust so Ken just put a line through him.

I tend to believe it because he played 2 months straight in the SANFL at the end if the season and was playing well but still couldnt get a look in. That was at a time Port were dropping off. On merritt he should have got a callup.

Outside of the obvious...one clip is at AFL level the other is at SANFL level...can you spot the other major difference??

Answer: All goals on his left peg in one clip, all goals on his right peg in the other.

If he's fit for majority of the year we've got an absolute steal here...

Like a number of players he has his own program. I notice he has been rested from some sessions then will do a full session the next day

My guess is he does of lot of fitness work away from group to take pressure off knee and then gets involved in Match Sims etc. Doesn't do a lot of the running sessions

I have no doubt he will be fit as possible come first game.
Thanks for the insight Soapy.

Sounds like the ongoing knee issue hasn't fully resolved. Must be annoying for him and does put some doubt into his long term prospects if it hasn't fully responded to surgery and rest.

That clip shows just how great his forward talent is. His goal sense is really high and his agility and ball handling are terrific.

If (yep I know.......) he stays fit we have an extremely talented, crafty small forward who will add real potency to our forward half.

What a bargain!!

E Hollands is suspended for 2 matches and we have a bye round 2. Therefore, round 3 is the earliest he is eligible to play

Pretty sure that was in reference to Weiters from Soapy’s post.

Weitering progressing well. Jogging etc

Club going to be "extremely" cautious to ensure it doesn't happen again. Could by another 2-3 weeks, could mean another 6.

Just not going to risk him at all.

odds shortening that he'll play Rd.3 (after the bye) on Good Friday V North.

T-minus 50 days.

No chance he plays round 1 ?
It’s still a month away.

No Hewett? I think Cunners before Fantasia. Cunners can run all day and will get back to defend. Not as confident with Fantasia doing the same. Plus Cunners does not get the credit for lockdown roles on oppo quarterbacks.
Game does not have Qaurterbacks you want Qaurterbacks go to Las Vegas

I know ridiculous isn’t it.
Just as ridiculous as a Round Zero…
Just make it Round One…

AFL could have had all zero round clubs taking the first bye round off followed by the the remaining clubs spread over the following two weeks, three mid season bye rounds as they do every season…

What position have young and kemp been training recently?
Keen to get a feel for who will replace wietering rd 0.
Also apart from the 4 rucks; pitto, TDK, Markov, O'Keefe who has been training in ruck craft?
Anyone else who could be that 3rd tall/ruck chopout ?

I’m with you. Do we back our ‘defensive team’ and go with 3 medium KPD or do we maintain our structure and go ‘like for like’ with a Young or big Durds?

Soapy has been at a heap of training sessions. I’m sure he will let us know.

Interestingly on his MMM interview, Fantasia mentioned the potential for him to push up onto the wing at times…wasn’t keen to give much away.
