I totally agree. No-one hates Trump more than me, and his words were unnecessarily macho, but there’s no way he’s calling for her to be put in front of a firing squad as some have spun it.

She would absolutely be within her rights to mount whatever legal challenges she and her team consider apt. That’s how the system works.

But if - speaking totally hypothetically here of course - 61 (count ‘em - 61) of them fail, or are rejected outright, and not a single one is successful, well THEN I think it would be most inappropriate - in fact the hallmark of an irredeemable cheat - to continue to insist she won.

I think you will find this is pretty commonplace in most presidencies. Pretending it doesn’t happen is pretty naieve.

America’s shocking record of violently interfering in the affairs of sovereign nations is without peer and deserves nothing but condemnation.

No I wouldn't support any candidate in a democratic, fair election refusing to certify including Harris. I also wouldn't support Harris if she was a convicted felon or convicted sexual predator.

I'm aware of the context. It's odd though for Trump to be saying that, if that's all he was getting at. He escaped a draft, sent troops to conflict zones as President, and took some risky decisions himself which could have escalated.

Odd or not odd, just take a look at how it’s been used over X and in the mainstream media. I know people will say meh, who cares, because of who it is.
People actually now think he’s calling for her to be executed / to be killed. It’s pretty cooked.

Here is a perfect example, two articles right on top of each other. One makes sense, the other is ridiculous.

I believe it actually varies from state to state. Some states start counting postal votes early on election day while others wait until the polls have closed.

Ohio, for example, is a state that starts counting them early. Last time, the early results from Ohio showed Biden with a sizeable lead (that had come from postal votes) that was then engulfed by the Trump votes as counting progressed. You might recall Trump, into the night on election day, insisting that the voting should stop in some states but must continue in others.
