This is a very very weird post. You could probably solve all of your problems by reading a couple books. Happy to recommend 2-3 when you’re ready

My point is that it is not sufficient to read a couple of books. That might assist me in appreciating the issues better, and a friend’s viewpoint, but not to the depth required in such deep rooted political conflicts. Nor lead to Israel and Iran experiencing domestic political consequences for perpetuating this cycle of violence.

I have more than enough texts to read on matters I can influence, before I even get to returning my garden and golf game to where they should be.

I normally don’t drop in often, as I don’t really have much to contribute to the party. I freely admit I know nowhere near as much as most in here. At election time, though, I can at least bring the popcorn.

I’ve been very skeptical of any tweets/polls/betting markets quoted by partisan commentators from both sides for this reason. It’s just electioneering.

Even though the stolen election rhetoric is almost certain to come flowing from Trump by Wednesday USA time if he is down, if the result is a smashing it makes it almost impossible for him to get any results over turned, even though its unlikely anyway. But better to make sure of it.

I’m hoping against hope you’re right. I’m just not quite as confident that old man Donny won’t have weaseled his way into people’s subconscious mind, and persuaded/bullied them into voting for him, if they know what good for them.

odds manipulation has been a thing and a few people are probably not willing to be on Harris winning because of the murphys law around something negative. The ol' just my luck Trump will win. But you also need to look at the demographic of people who bet. Falls right into the pro trump demographic.

What happened in 2020 wont happen this time. Wasnt a big emphasis on early voting, just mail ins. And mail ins werent counted until after the states had finished the vote and Trump was in front. He did go to bed at midnight with a handy lead. This time we will get early voting data at the same time, and we will get a good picture. The big swing states being on the east coast will produce results quickly. So I am not sure the red wave will occur until we start getting results from the middle states and Florida voting will be interesting.
