I really enjoy the draft, but don't claim to be a expert on it. From what I can Gather Lindsay plays as an outside/Balanced Mid, He was also named all Australian U18 on the Wing.I'm not sure how those 3 draftees will solve our wing issue. I.agree our wings aren't the strongest.
I'd like Berry for his defensive forward pressure and ability to kick goals
Kicking / decision making but he's one of a few with a very large range
As 20 kg heavier guy would find it very difficult to keep up with smaller guy zigzaging thru the traffic isn't it?
It is not all about size I think...It is more about balance of height and strenght(bigger players) and skill, speed and stamina(smaller guys)...By the way Richmond premiership side had 1 player taller than 195cm
Champion is WC NGA so no one really cares as a bid won’t be before 30 and they will match, unless we get the feeling WC don’t have a list spot available. Why is he not projected higher?
Looking at those highlights I'm leaning more towards him over Berry...
Cal gets the inside info from clubs. Always pay attention to him late. The great thing about pick 14 is it really looks like it’s close to where the consensus top end talent starts to drop off.
I think we’ll be delighted by who we end up with.
Assuming Smith, O’Sullivan, Draper, Smillie & Lalor are off the board.
You’d assume a couple of key position players are going to go off the board thinking Armstrong & Tauru.
It’s then just take your pick from who is left from….
Lindsay
Travaglia
Trainor
Hotton
Langford
Berry
Allan
Shanahan
Reid
You could honestly make a case for any of these kids.
Cal’s phantom draft will be fascinating

Top 4 in 2km time trial , top 3 agility, his top end speed is very good AND is highly rated kickAnyone see value in Will Hayes late?
Bell seems to have moved more to a back seat these days so I’m not sure that he has much input. I don’t even know what his job title is. Walls is the one that needs to like the kid and 30 is way too high for Champion in my opinion.I'm hearing Bell really likes the kid and is pushing for the club to bid at pick 30, so the Eagles miss him or they burn their picks for next year.
Top 4 in 2km time trial , top 3 agility, his top end speed is very good AND is highly rated kick
Perfect for developing small /half forward
Will Hayes is an intriguing talent who hasn't always found consistent form this year but has more than enough about him to have clubs interested come the November draft. This was one of his best performances for the season showing his lovely turn of pace, agility to dodge and weave around opponents, strong disposal skills and the moxie to take the game on with attacking and decisive play.
I’d happily take him with our last ND pickIs crazy skilled, athletic, determined and loves Freo. Size would be my only concern but rookie pick would be perfect.
That might happen, if they fill up their main list with national draft picks and we can pick him after that with a late national draft pick. Depends how many main list spots they have open, I have no idea.Champion is WC NGA so no one really cares as a bid won’t be before 30 and they will match, unless we get the feeling WC don’t have a list spot available.
They've just delisted 3 players, and they've only got three national draft picks. That might happen, if they fill up their main list with national draft picks and we can pick him after that with a late national draft pick. Depends how many main list spots they have open, I have no idea.
