Worner to be upgraded to the main list.

Twomey is right they can be more rookie upgrades to follow.

Uwland (GC) and Mitchell (Haw) literally have to be upgraded due to the time they've been on the rookie list (and games played). Adelaide also don't have the list space on the rookie list to redraft one of the delisted players they promised to.

Yep classy left footer Heath Black type who was in outstanding form before hurting his knee.
as much as I loved Heath Black, his kicking was over rated. It was a long, raking kick, but he often missed targets.
I see Lindsay as a Gulden type & I'm ok (as if I have any say) the evils don't get him

Worner is bordering on delist for mine. Would rather chance our arm at a Luke Ryan successor from deep in the draft / Wallsy special than keep persisting if he can’t make it.

You need some depth. Not everyone can be a gun. I watched a few of Peel's games towards the end of the year, and he was easily one of our best players in the magoos. The last H&A game in particular he was a clear standout. We've cut Hughes and need backup that is ready to go. Worner is more ready than a kid, and probably better or the same when compared with any state league mature option.

I have a small concern that we seem to have depth that we don't actually want to use. Reidy and Brodie for example, but I worry Worner may be similar. Surely if we need someone of his ilk Wagner or Aish come in. And the club have indicated that we may be looking for another half back in the draft or in Ireland.

Yeah Worner is a decent footy player. He can look a little off the pace in some areas when promoted to the 1s, but you know who'd be even more off the pace next year when required if we cut him? The 18 year old pick 70 we replace him with.

interestingly in the Griffin draft of 2016 we took Cox at 41, Darcy at 38, Ryan at 66, and Stewart went at 40, English at 19, Larkey at 73, Ratugolea at 43, Battle at 39, and Lewis at 76.

It wasn't particularly a weak draft, just that the recruiters didn't do a great job of working out who would be the best players. Even Bolton went 29, and Rioli 52.

Just another example of why when people say a certain pick is too high for a player it makes no sense.

Word was that we were really keen on Stewart but went 1 pick earlier.

We do our research on the matures, so don’t think we miss much!

As per Twomey, Murphy Reid may slide up to Dogs pick 17.and freo interested. But not mentioning us among those linked to Hotton. But some others , one of fox sports, espn or heraldsun linked us to Hotton

Believe Twomey. He's more likely to be right.

Feels to me that the top 17 are in a separate bracket from the rest.
That included the 3 academy and FS guys so pick 14 (17) will be the last pick on the night in that bracket.
The next tier from 18 onwards has guys like trainor, shanahan Whitlock. Ideally we would like a club ahead of us to grab one of those and it would give us a choice then between more than one of the top 17 (maybe berry or Hotton).

At this stage I’d say less than 50:50 chance that Berry will be there at our pick.
However there are always surprises in the draft from pick 10 onwards especially.

I tihnk there is a good chance that Lindsay or Berry are available.

I would say 85%

People put too much weight on what is essentially Twomey's personal rankings.

Even his phantom draft that'll come out in the next week or so will be significantly different to what's out today.

For example I realise there's a few talls around the 20 mark. I can see teams just in front of us with a real need for talls or Richmond simply because of how many picks they have taking them and moving players like Berry and Lindsay back a spot or two.

Only NGA and Irish players.

Jaren Carr appears to have been in our NGA. See article below where he is mentioned:

The reports suggest we have nominated him as F/S and no mention of NGA. So maybe his NGA status has lapsed. But I have no idea on the rules.

No idea why he would be in our NGA program.

Maybe you can add father sons to the program, to help them develop. --Guessing

Taylor - Any ideas?
