Its all fine to project and if it comes off great but looking at their junior form/games its a long shot
Hewett has probably the best chance but i have doubts about the other 2 and both look like HBF/Wing types

I just think they will go for the best inside mid available at their pick and hopefully thats after NorF's selection

Look I agree in part. I question the quality of the players mentioned. Picking hybrid players that played multiple roles in juniors and didn't dominate juniors as midfielders doesn't usually work well for AFL football.

The only thing that matters is what West Coast thinks though. A local boy with great speed and dual sided skill off a likely very good year will be too tempting for them to pass up on IMO (if they get the chance).

A lot of water to go under the bridge though. Sounds like they're into Chad Warner so their pick might be gone.

Things can change, but club has parked itself in an interesting place heading into next year.

Realistic to think we will finish last. So we have Pick one. Realistic to think North win max 8 games? So another top 5 pick.

Say we have Pick 1 & 5.

The top end at this stage is midfield beasts and KPP Ruck types.

Considering we took Faull, Armstrong and Sims, with what we have, it’s gonna be very interesting what we do.

I 100% know we'll finish last and reckon North are still bottom 2-3. Darlings cooked, Parker's just another mid. Their pathetic KP stock and selling 2 games to WA has screwed them. Hopefully land Sharp and a silky skilled player with pace to offset Lalor, Smillie and Mcaulliffe. If any of these 200cm ruck/ KPF turn out to be the head and shoulders next best player at our pick we can always take them. We're in the unique position where we have a direct hotline to the Incumbent CEO of Tassie AKA Permhead AKA Chieftan. The AFL has already said Tassie will have designated picks that must be used to trade for established players.

If by EOY 2026 we have Faull, Sims. Armstrong and hypothetically either Louis Emmett or Cooper Duff Tytler on our list. By then we'll have a fair indication of who's gonna be our KPF for the next 10+ years. The remaining 1 or 2 will most likely be kicking 3+ goals a week in the magoos whilst starved of opportunity. Tassie would pay an absolute Motze for a 1st round KPF who's ready made and had 2-3 years development. We could be like GWS.... someone desperately wants our 21/22 yo contracted kid well that'll be 2 x 1st rounders or pick 1 thanks.

I believe Emmett is affiliated with and will be training with Tiges and will play in our VFL side at some stage... who knows we might actually finally just Draft our next Roy Wright/ Michael Green ourselves instead of bargain basement poaching rucks like parasites.

I'm sure our trade strategy will depend on the year that our NGA prospect Armstrong has. With new draft points rules, we might need the 2026 points to match him.

Also, let's send Rance to tear Walkers family apart so Cody nominates us instead of Carlton

This Harley Reid obsession needs to stop. It’s one player. Putting all our eggs into one basket is stupid.
It's pretty ****in far from one basket. We picked up eight new baskets just two weeks ago, and put ourselves in a position to get a couple of beaut new baskets next year as well - or one ****ing unreal basket.

Blair has Magic Puddinged us nine first-rounders in two years. Or it could be seven and the most exciting prospect in the league. Cap-wise we'll be perfectly positioned to frontload the campaignermuscle out of his contract so it won't cramp our style too much in future trading/free agency.

It's dependent on our kids showing to both us and Harley that it's a worthwhile investment for both of us, but if they do we'd be pants-pissing dick cheeses not to go for it.

Just a reminder that Harley Reid is contracted until the end of 2026, so there is no real rush for WCE to re-sign him next year.

There will be every team in Victoria that will be in Reid's ear and after 3 years of shit club i highly doubt he will be looking to go to a team in a similar position.

He will be wanting to play for a club that has deep finals on the agenda
Lets just take Sharp & Fred and build our own team and Bank a shed load of cap space and get the missing pieces in 2 years time as free agents. We need to invest in the 2025 & 2026 draft and accumulate more young long term talent

We're 3yrs ahead in draft capital after this year.
We can afford a spurge.

It’s a dumb f***ing idea trading the world for one player. We have holes everywhere. Would rather draft three guns than trade for one.

They would re-sign him tomorrow if they could. If they don't re-sign him next year and don't trade him they are on a hiding to nothing going into 2026.

Which club would that be? Collingwood and their 40-year-olds and no drafts picks for two years? Geelong and their 50-year-olds and dud youth like Jhye Clark? Carlton and their missed window and overflowing salary cap? Essendon and their thundering mediocrity and incurable dysfunction? Melbourne and all their shit? LOLNorf? St Failure?

It'll be Hawthorn, the Dogs or us. Hawthorn are paying back pockets 900k so not sure they can afford him, and besides, they're overrated. The Dogs maybe, but they're the ****ing dogs ffs and they have plenty of contracts to pay as well.

We're the sexiest wooden-spooners in the history of the world. We just signed eight glamours Harley's age. We're Richmond. If he doesn't want to play for us he's a ****ing moron.

I think that was probably Garry Lyon's plan, he wanted Oscar for Melbourne

He will push to come back to Vic end of 2025, but I think you may have the wrong coloured sash.

They won't trade him next year unless someone offers a crazy deal. There is no real pressure on them until midway through 2026 and even then, they're not under any more pressure than what we were with Martin each time he was up for re-signing.

As for him coming to us, I don't see it happening, especially if all our kids taken over 2024 and the next couple of drafts develop as we hope.

Our only chance to trade in Reid will be at year's end with two 1st rounders. We would also need to convince him to request a move back home. If that doesn't happen, I can't see us getting him when his contract with Eagles expires, reckon he will be Essendon bound.

Dyson Sharp will enter next season as many people's favourite to go pick 1 in the 2025 draft. He's a tough and brave contested inside mid with enough versatility to his game to play and thrive in other roles. His stoppage work is a standout, his reading of the tap and movement always seems to put him in the right place at the right time and he plays with a physical edge to absorb contact or apply pressure of his own. He's already shown that he can impact in a major way at senior SANFL level as a 17 year old, more than physically ready, the only slight question mark at this stage being his decision making at times where he has more time and space than he realises and rushes into a disposal, something that we can probably expect to improve with more experience at the level.
