I think COVID and Nick not only retiring but leaving the country for a while didn't help, but it also hamstrings the AFL on fixture (a St Kilda home game v Richmond). I think the club wants to make Spud's Game the one off special game now, which can be against any big Melbourne club at the MCG.
It’s been brilliant, but it’s run its race.
So I’ll wear my purple striped Saints scarf for the last time.

Just said King had a hamstring issue at training today. Was getting worked on. FFS his career is so frustrating so far.

Channel 7, channel 9, channel 10 apparently all ran with it today

Joffa didnt mention it in his training report? Must have happened very late in the session or it;s being exaggerated
Whilst not dismissing it.

Not a single journo is running with it on X right now.

So might just be a beat up.

Was at the beginning of the session, got up did his program, then ran laps.

Context is everything. Was not hindered at all from what I could see.

Also Ross was leaning on the fence having a chat with him.
If it was a problem he wouldn't be running laps at the end of the session.

Walked up the race having a laugh with a couple of other players.

Ch9 said the same and showed him getting a stretch and a little work on the hammie
Just looked at the footage, was definitely at the beginning of the session.
The jogging laps was at the end of the session. Might have had a bit of tightness but he would not have stayed out and run about of it was anything more.

For context, I always walk over to the far side to see what is going on in rehab.

Saw him getting stretched, but got up and then ran, was watching Doogs and Stocker more, then the mids were on that side doing drills and I watched them more.
Did that for about 15 minutes then went back to the side where the stand is to watch the match sim.
Much later, right near the end of the session, King was running slowish laps.
I then went behind the goals at the South Rd end to watch the backs do some blocking drills, when it finished and I was leaving, had to wait for Max and a couple others to walk up the race. They all stopped for the nuffies to get selfies etc.
All this, to me anyway, is not someone with any type of major hamstring issue.

Rip Kings Hamstring

How typical would it be for us to loose to Richmond after beating Geelong.
I bloody hope they take this game deadly serious.
It's not uncommon for teams to come out after playing their gf type win and loose the next week.
Be ready saints. They might be young and brash but they are fast and willing.

Doubt trainers would be stretching a hamstring on the sidelines if they thought it was anything serious lmao
Three camera's there today, lots of journo's. Need something to report, session was a very light recovery session.

For once the closed captions got it right (at least for the first part).
It cracks me up to hear all the Common 'Taters stumble over his name, very few approach it confidently or execute smoothly, some don't even try. The more brain damaged ones like Dermie or BT trying to get one out in mid-flow is a treat!

I think half the reason they're talking him up is to get him famous enough that they can just use his nickname like "Dusty", "Danger" and so on.

Well, to be fair, Nas's full name is 9 syllables long, now that Tippa has retired it's possibly the longest name in AFL, and the middle part with a different intonation; it's not for the faint hearted! Maybe we should get a few cheer squad members to wear the design below on a t shirt or maje a few large banners with similar designs: that should clear up any confusion!

OMG - read it first as stretchered (off).
I’m just conditioned for the worst with King obviously.

Guy needs no more injuries for the rest of his career. He’s had more than his fair share.

Sharman and Henry are two players that make the team instantly better, but after the win, and the fact that Henry hasn't played much footy, and Sharman (as much as i'm a huge fan) may be rusty...I'd give them a game together in Sandy. Richmond shouldn't be taken lightly - I don't think any team should - but Keeler, Collard, and guys like Hall and O'Connell need a decent block of games.
Keep the changes to a minimum after a good win.
Arie, or Hastie to come back in for Stocker...and Carroll for Clark.
Sharman did a fair chunk of the pre-season, so think he could slot straight back in & it would help to free up Keeler abit.
And unfortunately he may even replace? Keeler,
Hope not.

Henry could do with another one at Sandy, he did miss most of the pre-season.

Like for like, Carroll for Clark, although didn't actually know that Carroll was an inside mid.?

Let’s move on and play the kids who are our future. Unless Carroll is head and shoulders above them which he’s clearly not then just no.
Settle down, Carroll is only 22 y.o., best footy ahead of him hopefully.
And looks like after the last two games with Sandy, that he may have found his new niche with us, as a mid. bull

Henry missed half the preseason.

I think that's why Carroll came to us after being amicably delisted by Carlton. I thought I heard it was for an inside mid role...and he saw us as the most likely destination for him to get a gig.
Could be mistaken though.

I don't think Henry has shown enough for us to bypass the VFL and come in...

I'd give him another week there.

Think cooper comes straight in for Clark, with wood/Wilson spending more time in the midfield.

Stocker for Travaglia is pretty straightforward imo.. let him cut his teeth at half back

I hope we don't rush Butler back, I think he's best 22 but keen to see Collard get more minutes, was impressed with him on Saturday thought he looked talented and dangerous in moments.

If Clark is ok then I think probably Keeler goes.. obvious talent but he nearly cost us the game
