Possibly, finished the season strongly.

Apparently his scoring increase coincided with McInerney being out of the side, so might not be permanent. Luckily we get a look in round 0.
Luckily or unluckily? This round 0 crap absolutely kills me, it ruins it. All the players that shine in rd0 are locked in, doesn't matter that they play one less game. There's quiet a few rookies, midpricers and cheaper premos.

Lions: Kiddy, Washcroft, Lashcroft
Cats: Holmes, SDK (if he plays ruck), Bazlenka
Swans: Roberts, Mills, Sheldrick
Hawks: Sicily, Day, Hustwaite
Suns: ?
Bombers: El-Hawli, Zreid, Parish
Giants: Fahey, Stone (probably gets Perryman's spot)
Pies: Perryman (if he gets 80% CBAs and scores big), Houston (if he seagulls down back and takes ownership of our kick-ins), Daicos, Allan

That's off the top my head, probably missed a few.

Surely they could have figured out a way to include rd0 in SC? Best 8 scores, then unlimited/free trades on all non-rd0 players leading up to rd1. Trading out rd0 players costs a trade.

R0 is stupid. The AFL is a proper mickey mouse competition. How can 8 teams get an extra bye compared to the others? How can some teams get two byes before others even have one?

SC wise it's lucky though, helps massively judging players like Roberts role in a proper match. IMO any player you are picking primarily to make money the early bye doesn't really matter. Expensive premo's I will try to avoid due to playing one less game (but I play for overall so total points is what matters to me).

Agree MT, from a football pov it’s a dead set laugh. It’s long been a fixture but to have some teams getting an additional bye during the season is a disgrace and surely not replicated anywhere in the world at top level professional sport.

So… does Sicily play 3rd tall in backline mostly or will they slide him forward more. Asking for a mate.
Too risky for me, I reckon he'll be moved forward. Would be a frustrating own.

Need a pre season report on James Blanck’s acl or is he a no go Hawks supporters ?
He was the dog’s release to play 3rd tall
Blanck still rehabbing. Fwds are up in the air, Lewis and dear injured, but Rsmsden could gill in there. Battle having such good ball usage out of D50 also muddies the waters s bit. Hard to have Sic with uncertainty on how the squad lines up.

Yeah tend to agree. A pity would go 110 again if full time def i think.

With Richmond being likely worse off than last season It means that 2 max players will be getting 100+ most games. Short is going have to be performing better than he was to back up his numbers. That and he no longer has senior players like Rioli & Baker to feed from/to to get those scores. I'd be wary on Short. Better to just to invest in the rookies.

No Rioli kick ins, more points against, more ball down back, he and Vlaustin running the backline.
long kicks down the line and lots of them for Short this year imo. See him as a well priced d6.

Kiddy Coleman No strapping on the knee at training.

Suns = Flanders, Rioli
Gws = Green
Bombers = Merrett
Lions = Neale
Cats = Stewart

That's just some of the premos missed.

The rookies can be ignored, as in, they can be in the starting team.

If you start a round 0 player then you are locking in a 40-60pt loss on someone who doesn't start that player, so around 10 PPG for the first 6 games of the season. So a player like Rivers for example can score 10 PPG less than say Stewart and you come out even with a $60k saving spent somewhere else, multiply that by 4 players, eg: round 3 and you're well ahead.

If you avoid the round 0 players then it's likely that you load up on round 12 & 13 players, again not ideal.

What the AFL have done with the fixture is royally screw the Fantasy game participants.

At a minimum will be pinch hitting up there when needed, similar to the final last yr. Don't really need risks like that at the price and prob means more variance so can be traded in cheaper
Battle has played forward too, doesn't have to be Sicily that goes forward.
