To be fair we treaded out of 2025 draft for a first rounder on 2024. So we have added the young talent. Also this year seems heavily compromised with Academy and FS players. One of the reasons Richmond didn’t trade too many picks into next year.
I’m comfortable with backing us in to be pushing for the 8 next year.

Agree, although sadly I still feel like we need another couple of top 5 picks to take into the next phase.

Agree Trac would possibly seek a move if we have a poor season. I still think it’s going to be hard for him to get a deal down. A club is going to have to pay overs. I think Carlton could get it done. As they have some assets to trade. Collingwood have bugger all in terms of tradable players. Then there’s the salary. I can’t see us coughing up too much without a very nice deal coming back our way.

I think... that on-top of a strong draft intake, we need to find a top-line free agent. One who will spend at least 5 seasons within our list.

I'm imagining a proven Mid or small Forward.

I would have been tempted to draft Joe Berry this past draft. Lindsay and Berry, with a trade down from P6... to maybe grab Harry Armstrong, or Luke Trainor, plus some pick return... so maybe trade the extra pick back into the 2025 draft.

Keen for us to over correct our list balance as we always do and like we have in the past with inside mids/wingmen and NQR Key forwards. This year I hope we over correct with small forwards.
