Probably all of 3 people - outside the Hawthorn Media Mafia, cared about Ken's post-match yapping. Ken because My Legacy, Sicily because he's one red light away from driving into a crowd of pedestrians and Mitchell because he's Ken from Barbie.
FTFY.

I knew our Sunday game was going to be a night game.

there will be more night games going forward AFL and the broadcasters want it as a new slot
And WA teams will get dumped with a lot of 4.40pm local time games for the Malbun TV market.

Can't have the big Vic teams playing and affect their gate receipts, like happened with Collingwood home game against Carlton in 2014 and only 40k turn up and McGuire threatened to sue the AFL for lost gate receipts of about $750k.

The odd game here and there aint too bad, but players don't want 8 or 10 of these games a year and hang around all weekend to play a game. Plus the likelihood is you get another Sunday game the next week even if its an earlier time slot.

I mean they're forced to stay an extra night and keep putting money into the state, that's exactly why this round exists. it has nothing to do with footy or far-reaching fans

This is all for television ratings back in Victoria.

They’ll definitely all tune in and watch this on a Sunday night with no games in Victoria all weekend.
Especially with preamble highlighting our finals feud!

AFL fined Hinkley $20k for conduct unbecoming.

Next minute its a marketing opportunity. Is the AFL giving the club $20k back, given they paid it, or at least not apply the amount to the Footy department spend?

The time slot is for TV. Will be on Fox Footy nationwide and they would want a primetime game and it allows 7 Adelaide to reduce their Sunday news by only 15 minutes to cross to the game.
Absolute woke hypocrites at the AFL.

'bitter rivalry'. What hyped up garbage.

It's like when we were dominating the SANFL and the local media called us and Glenelg, 'bitter rivals' and us and Norwood 'bitter rivals' and us and Sturt 'bitter rivals'...... We were apparently bitter rivals with the rest of the SANFL - who would have thought?

Unfortunately given our relative AFL premiership success we are the Glenelg in this scenario.

We called it as soon as it happened. No surprise whatsoever

Whocares about next year anyway. When is this round 5? Hopefully Ken's done by then.

They aren't woke, they are capitalist grifters.

Anything for a buck!
They are both.

Always interested in doing anything for a buck but also being the social arbiters on nearly everthying.

Take gambling, its bad, players or coaches who have a $10 bet, fine them $20k, ban them for a few games, think of the kiddies, but lets sign a contract with Sportsbet and get commissions of $40m a year and they can pay advertising fees of $6m each year to advertise on all their platforms.

I'm interstate and had booked accommodation for Gather Round Thursday to Sunday - this game is literally the only timeslot that works awfully for me and means I likely need to take Monday off... so silly.

If they were 'woke' there would be some consistency. The lack of consistency is what makes them grifters, they always play both sides.
