Their own free agent Brandon Starcevich is expected to garner interest from both West Australian clubs while he makes his own contract decision after being a key player in Brisbane's premiership push.

A great time for him to have a lot of unexplained "niggle' type injuries, drop his value and prepare to be restored by the best med team in the league and get a premiership medal-lion to boot! ;)

Also a great time to feed rumours to journals to get a better offer from the Eagles

Wouldn't shock me if there is an Allan & Starcevich swap. Hope I'm wrong though and we can manage to snag Allan without losing Starc.

I'm sure they will ask for it but let's face it it's up to Starc, I hope it happens without that, be a bit of pay back for Yeo.
Not sure it's enough. As it looks West Coast may have a bottom four season again. This will generate them a top four draft pick. That would be enough for them to smile all the way to the bank and be happy.

In the scenario that Oscar leaves via RF agency, WC likely trade for Starcevich to keep the Allan compensation. Note WCE have ample supply of half backs albeit not as accomplished as Starcevich.

Probably works for Brisbane too (assuming we can’t hang onto Starc). Band-1 compo for the Premiers after other compo picks, f/s picks, academy picks, is likely to be something mid-to-late 20’s!
