General thoughts on these blokes?

Jayden Short
Luke Parker
Shai Boltom

Was thinking that Short might benefit from the departures like Rioli and that there will likely be.a fair bit of ball going through the Richmond backline.

Parker doesn't interest me a heap, feels a bit like a Tay Adams sort of phase of the career, anyone keen?

Bolton was disastrous for me as a bloke cycling in and out of an F5/F6 spot, but to be fair to him, in a stronger Fremantle side, he should see more involvements on the outside / going forward than he did last year.

Tough ones to peg, tbh

Have Short atm, no interest in Parker...and already have 3 players with Rd13 bye

Are you a closet Essendon supporter? I could understand it based on your support for West Adelaide
Not really, my son in law though is a ESS tragic …… family friends with Sheeds

What role is Parker set to play? If he gets midfield time then he has to be considered, but with North's strong midfield brigade, I'm not sure he does.

I think Short is worth a punt (provided he has the role and does well in preseason of course).

A lot of positives around Bolton, better team, good age, back home, etc., pending his role, he's in for me.

Forward 70% / Mid 30% for Parker as a guess. He is strong in the middle though for CBA’s, so that may increase at times.

We have a lot of developing mids i hope we blood them more than Parker in there.

I agree to a degree on Parker.
We've recruited experience on three lines Parker will get plenty of mid time to start the year less as it progresses. We are a mess and need the leadership

Okay
Luke Parker is the EASIEST pass of 2025.

OK, most seem to see Parker the way I do, good to know.
Couldn't be much less enthusiastic on Bolton, but get that there are enough reasons to assume he'll cop an uptick.
Short the most interesting (to me), could have a pretty clear runway with Tigs' departures.
Might not shoot the absolute lights out, but seems a decent midpriced option.

I reckon Short will be good for 90-95 avg had him for a few years. Bit of a boring pick IMO

I want excitement stevebbb

But wait, there's more!
Can I interest you in a lightly used Cam Guthrie at the low, low price of 278,000 dollars?

Still not across the line?

Our first ten callers receive Jack 'Superstar' Martín for only 151k.

And we will throw in three extra pairs of spare calves at no extra cost

Please don't make me debase myself further by offering up Jedda Bews

In Peatlings 7 matches last year where he scored 93 or better he averaged a tick under 9 tackles per game (That’s if I’ve calculated correctly) and averaged 106.5 SC points.

Seems like a decent pick if the role is there, but can he sustain that amount of tackles per game?

Whenever he got above 55% CBAs, he averaged 98.3

If it looks like he's getting that midfield role, I'm locking him in as a stepping stone. Hoping for a big 25 touch/10 tackle/130 SC spike match, make $150k+, then boot him to a ultra premo.

So long as he doesn't go PING with the first kick in February....

Parker's prominence in all the training reports suggests he'll get a leadership position of some description.

He's also shown for the best part of a decade he can average around 100 over a season so long as he's playing in the midfield.

To me, it feels very likely that he'll spend significant time being the organiser-in-chief of our on-ball brigade until the bye.

In which case, at sub 350k, he's a decent stepping stone.

I can feel myself gravitating towards getting him for F3 or F4.

Parker is an easy one to stay away from as a starter for mine…

Until he gets bulk CBA’s in the praccy games and lays some bulk tackle :moustache:

Then I’ll be chasin’ those sweet sweet pre-season pointz.

One thing to remember he is coming from a club winning lots of games and also being the No1 Mid for many years. He will be another year older and he is already slow and I personally think he will be frustrating player to own.
There are lots of mouths to feed in the North Midfield and I doubt he goes above 85 average.

He might be ok if he can make a quick $150k and flick him up to whichever premo looks like a better shout without the rd 12 bye, but if he’s scoring that well would you really punt him?

If he makes $150k I will strip down naked.
