Yep agree. I think Viney believes whenever you can get into the 1st round, you pay the steep price do to it.
With Harris and McCartney potentially added in 2026, that's another mid and key position, so does that change what we trade for or draft this year? It'll be interesting to see. I reckon Clarko would want a game changer type like Cyril.

8 tied to Suns/Swans/Lions academies. Another Ben Rongdoit tied to Cats NGA.

A bunch of mids we don't really need other than perhaps taller Oliver Greeves or Riley Onley (193cm).
Ruck/fwd hybrids - Duff-Tyler, Emmett, Hay (I don't really see the need with Goad)

Defender - Cody Curtin
Key Forward - Archie Ludowyke
Noah Hibbins-Hargraeaves - Creative, dangerous forward, classy ball user.
Josh Lindsay - Lethal left foot rebounding defender/wing.

And there would be a few GWS academy guys as well that might push up the order.

Yep. They'll push out a bit with potential bids. but plenty of flexibility to trade for players or picks.

What our draft hand means is that we can finally start thinking about needs with our picks.

Sheezel, Wardlaw, McKercher, Duursma, and O'Sullivan is an incredible nucleus built over three years, but now it's time to go out and get some high-quality role players, who can support them and help them win premierships. With our futures hand, we'll also be able to move up for those players as well if needed.

It won't be as flashy of a draft as we've seen in recent years, but that doesn't mean that it can't be equally important.

It won't be as flashy of a draft as we've seen in recent years, but that doesn't mean that it can't be equally important.

We are a high pressure crumbing small forward and another solid contributing key forward away from a pretty complete list imo.

Hopefully we can sort it all out at the end of this year through a combination of draft, free agency and trades.
