English v TDK
Oliver v W.Ashcroft
Wanganeen-Milera v Stewart
I’m not as sold on Ashcroft as others. If you’re picking him at $440k you’d want him to be a keeper.

Is he going to be a top 15-20 mid? Or an expensive stepping stone type?

Has an early bye as well, like Stewart, who I would 100% be starting if not for the early bye situation.

I’m going to say:

English due to the Pittonet factor

Clarry for the ceiling and higher potential to average more than Ashcroft if he stays clean and focused (and drops a few kegs) and Ashcroft has an early bye.

And toss a coin between Stew and NWM.

If byes are a factor then NAS, if not, Stewart has a proven track record (although he shit me to tears last season when I brought him in)

Thank you friend

Ah the age old question.

Reminds me of my teenage sweetheart. She was blonde, and my friends would ask crude 'questions'. Those jealous fks!

$540k for a player yet to 'break-out' with a high season average, and battling another ruckman for #1
.... vs ....
A clear #1 ruck coming off an injury affected year who is only $30k more, though with only one premo ruck season himself.
ENGLISH for me.

I'd love Piggy to return to his old self, but training reports so far are unflattering. Will this be the year Ashcroft gets to 120+? Surely he gets there, but is it too early?
ASHCROFT for me.

Had Stewart last year. I won't have him again. NWM ultra-consistent. 3 scores under 90, only 2 over 120. Good enough.
NWM for me.

Any particular reason?

The eye-test?

Gut feel?
Gut feel.

I think Travaglia coming in to play half back will push Sinclair to midfield. More points for NWM hopefully

. . . only taking one . . .
Nic Martin is training with the midfield group in PS .....likely WING role maybe ?

NWM for me
Bulk kick outs for NWM if Sinclair moves into the middle? Felt he’d run from everywhere (Sinclair) for a kick out last season.

Or will Schoenmaker steal them all? Surely he gets first dibs if he’s in the team.

Another:

Brayshaw or Serong?
Everyone jumping on Serong must not remember his position move in the last half of games because the brayshaw, serong, young midfield was just not working. With addition to Bolton will he be back to the main midfield rotation or will he be still be playing stints in the forward line? His Scoring dropped off after the bye with only 1 120+ score and a fair few 80-90 scores. Similar happened to Dangerfield. Spent more time forward which capped his scoring potential from a 130+ to 100+

Brayshaw after the move for Serong now scores higher.
