Just a reminder that all of my pre season reports, including today, can be found in the bigman training report thread.

The OP is George Kramer so you may need to take him off your ignore list if you want to have a look!

There’s around a dozen reports already this summer for those interested.
I reckon you should start your own thread, don’t think too many would have you on ignore 🤣

I love your reports but please start your own thread because I ain't doing that and wading through all the back and forth on other threads.

I've changed bigman's thread over - he's now the thread starter.

Previous training reports are thread marked

You can follow the thread and get an alert whenever there are new posts in the thread.

Far less painful than taking GK off ignore. And the added bonus of being able to read the training reports thread without seeing any posts from GK!

Great work Bigman.

Ok probably unpopular opinion but I'd love Thilthorpe in the ruck.
There's less risk now for impact injury as they can't jump into eachother, no 3rd over the top.
His skill level gives us another midfielder at the stoppage and around the ground.
Exposing him to more contests will harden him up too. Not that he's soft, he definite isn't but will condition his body better for the contest.
He can rest up forward too.
Grundy, Jackson, Marshall are all similar types. Kreuzer was probably a good comparison too.

Regardless we need a better option than what we have now.

You will get no love here, but welcome to the island.
Marshall looking at a 70/30 split this year and would love to see the same at least with our Bear in the centre square . The beard should stay also, big year for him imo.

A scratch I can't itch is Thilthorpe as a Koutoufides midfielder.

Would love to see a one quarter trial in the preseason, just to placate me.

But wouldn't we effectively be replacing ROB with Burgess, Cook or Murphy?

However you feel about ROB, this move doesn't make us a better team.

Good point...we don't have a solid 2nd ruck option. Toby isn't ready, Burgess is no good.
The only thing I can think of is Tex taking fwd ruck and TT taking the rest.

It's easier to find a ruckman that can perform to standard satisfactory than it is to find a Key forward to the same level.

A dominant key forward is more valuable than a dominant ruckman
Probably right but it all starts from the middle.
We have Tex for 1 more year then Fog is the man. Who do we have that will be his sidekick.
Welsh is too young and small, TT is it.
Not alot in the depth chart though
