Do you really think it was all injuries (hamsting and finger), the year his drugs issues finally became a known. Or was it possibly a quiet afl suspension.?
I think it was the injuries. Possibly the club delayed his return due to behavioural issues after that time in respect of rehab etc, which they have a right to do if they don’t believe he is meeting his professional training standards, but I believe the injuries were real. Don’t want to engage further on this, thanks for reading. I’m not up for argument about these unknowns, or further encouraging someone with a thought bubble conspiracy about an AFL suspension.

You seem a decent enough person, and have some interesting ideas that don’t align to the general view which is great, and I otherwise enjoy your input.

idk, i tend not to speculate.

All i know injury or otherwise he was rushed into a final seemingly under done after a stint of missing games, Same with an injured trac

2022 i don't recall anything bad really, just kinda stagnated and hit bad form like everyone else in the back half of that year

I will point out him being underdone this year and that is his fault

So before anyone else or otherwise jump down my throat and presumes what i'm saying. I don't know enough of anything else other than this his own form this year is on him. I am not talking the entirety of the team
I like this and agree, the one bit I’m not sure of is the extent that this was anyone’s fault - Clayton’s form I mean. But I’m guessing too. We might find out more one day or not.

danster168 going forward can you please measure Oliver's training performance/appearance in cheeseburgers?

Example:
Trained the house down and looking trimmer = 1 Cheeseburger
Solid effort but still fat = 3 cheeseburgers
Phoned it in and would have been better off just eating cheeseburgers instead, rig jiggles a lot = 10 cheeseburgers

Thanks for the reports danster168 . Appreciate the detailed reporting, honesty and willingness to volunteer your own time to pass it on to us. Have you noticed much change in Jeffersons competitiveness?
No worries. I haven't seen an improvement in his competitiveness to be honest. That's what I look out for in the time trial. Not the performance but the effort and I still see that lacking.

There's not much more new to see at trainings because I've seen quite a few now. most of the drills are similar and there's no genuine match sims. Even the match sims now are 14 v 14 with about 20% tackling intensity so it's hard to get a read. but maybe into the new year I'll head to several more. A big watch for me on Oliver's conditioning once he gets back from the break and Xavier Lindsay who should be fully training.

Good to see the club has bought a drone.
90% of its use will be to follow Oliver around outside of training.

Club will be filthy when they find out he’s taken on a side hustle delivering Uber eats.

Great to see some positivity around Clarry. Really hoping Koz can become a gun mid too. Sounds like they are putting more time into this idea. More time from Koz and Riv with Langford and our midfield looks and feels a little different. Still not a fan of Viney and Clarry together though. Still think it has to be one or the other.

Yep, really strange from the club. Regardless of anyone's position on Oliver I'm sure we all agree it didn't make sense to sign Viney long term then choose to keep Oliver. Surely you let Viney go if Oliver wasn't going to be allowed to leave?

Dunno if I'd call it strange, the club's obsessed with inside mids and there's no evidence at all to say they've changed that thinking

I think he meant the club is strange. Not “this surprises me” strange. More just MFC is weird

I couldn't be less interested in the Dees if I tried. Counting down the days til Goody is gone still...

Me either. Some pics of them training? Who gives a shit.
Waiting for the inevitable fast ball movement in pre season games because no one's defending and the same nuffs who said we'd changed it last year back out in force

1. Thank god
2. Even this sort of language doesn't bode particularly well for Jefferson (sounds behind Kentfield): "We’ve got Jacob van Rooyen, Daniel Turner, Luker Kentfield who are our key forwards. We’ve got Matthew Jefferson who has continued to improve and we’ve got in Adrian Johnson this year from Werribee."
3. We still can't get our own players' names right in media articles
