Voss confirms Kemp will play and stay forward

Hmmm

To be fair, this isn't a bad thing.

Matthew Lloyd isn't our coach... and for good reason...

With Harry out for an unknown period now, we need to see what Kemp is made of. He didn't look too bad in the first quarter against the Tigers, and was pretty good v the Eagles last year... comes as no surprise both occasions were when the rest of the team was playing well.

Dogs defence can be stretched a bit here too...

Voss is doing all he can to back Kemp in here, it's up to him to step up.

Surely we break glass and bring in Moir.

We desperately need to let our backline build cohesion with SOS back there because at the moment they look lost at sea and flying for the same balls.I was a wrap for Haynes but he's been pretty underwhelming to date.

I'd bring Boyd in for him and send SOS back, Young out for Moir.

Go small and lower the eyes like we did in the back end of last year.

Right now it would have kinda been nice to have McMahon as an option vs the small we picked up pre season.
Hindsight hey
I was on the McMahon wagon from day 1 - absolute stoopidity on behalf of our coaching brains trust to take a pair of small forwards in the SSP when we don't have a KPD back up.

This scenario of having one or both of H and Charlie not being available during the year was always on the cards, especially when one of them had 2 ops during the preseason with an ongoing issue.

And as a side point - about 4 or 5 games back, McMahon kicked a lazy 7 (would have been 8 due to an advantage goal) against a Cats defender who just happened to win a Rising Star nomination this week. Total demolition.

So our brains trust are now left trying to plug holes in H's absence.

The knock on him seemed to be he was getting outbodied by Weiters. McMahon is a leading forward that moves and gets the ball on the move and then converts even from difficult locations. Seemed a no brainer to me.

Damn - I'm going to the game this weekend.

I've wanted to see both Campo and Lord - not Evans!

Still, I'm cheering on for our first win of this season - bring it on!

The best super power in the world is Hindsight.

Sometimes you just have to lower your eyes and look at what right in front of you. Another poor example of trading from the Carlton FC, and I can't let it go as it's just ridiculous that we keep reoffending. Not one but two ELITE footballers with ELITE skills (kicking) wanted to come to us and we said, nothing here for you, we are super happy with our list...

WTF...
