The spectre of Pittonet looms large in background, that much is certain.

TDK also has the worst bye and should be an upgrade target.

You’d have to be a fairly mediocre coach to consider TDK.

I’m starting him.
As a fellow mediocre coach I fully concur & will also be starting TDK

He also does amazing things…..to my system

Starting to warm to the idea of Darcy from Freo. Sounds likes he’s having an unreal preseason and with the flex / best 22 there’s probably never gonna be a better time to start him.
The thing that concerns me is he's only played 27 games in the past 2 seasons.....is that going to change this season....while he scores well, I don't think I could take the risk....but fortune favours the brave....good luck if you go with it.:thumbsu:

You will be able to get him cheaper later in the season when he drops a 50.
l think Darcy will end up injured again early on and Jackson will take over the ruck roll...TDK seems to be picked by a lot on here so l thought of someone else.. l can only afford players lower than Jacksons price anyway..

Rucks are hard this year ey? Last year Gawn/Grundy seemed very obvious with Xerri as a great less common option.

Any love for Briggs at $520k or so? Solo ruck, still a young man. I don't love the idea of paying up for Gawn/Xerri.
Meek >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Briggs

Worth the extra $40k imo

26 years old, first season full-time ruck and really impressed, built like a brick shithouse, he will improve, his fitness will improve, the midfield at his feet will improve.

Xerri R1 :padlock:

English vs Meek R2 is the only decision to make

Round 0 is a problem, but byes are best 18 scores, so I don't think it really matters. In 2024 everybody overcomplicated things trading out rd0 players, when they would have been better off holding (til the main byes, or long-term).

Would not go near English if you literally gave me a lazy hundred. Shizenhousen this year (eye test) and that's the nice version.

Secondly Darcy not should but will take more ruck time off him.
Agree that English had a poor season, but it's completely plausible that he bounces back. It won't be 128, but it could easily be 118. Sam Darcy up his ass could spur him on. English's forward craft actually improved, it was his ruck craft that dropped off.

Darcy is too injury prone he never lasts. Pass.

Briggs has a lower ceiling than some of the others but he is reliable and I doubt the Giants will play 2 rucks so he will get the Lions share of the points.

OK .....so till this morning I had Flynn in my Flex position .....and no Phillipou up FWD

I think Pou can surpass the ave anticipated from Flynn

So, Flynn becomes Hodar in my Flex position .....given 3 of his first 5 RUCK match-ups are the easiest in the AFL
Fighting fit, Hodar could reach an 110 ave

And, Phillipou comes into my FWDS
