Cool, we'll get him and the dogs will pay part of his salary. Could it be as simple as JUH not wanting to go interstate?
I think he is more of a red flag, that its the clubs backing out.
He needs to go interstate. Cant imagine he'll deal with the pressure of a big club.
But first needs to decide what he wants for his career.

12 clubs not interested tell you it’s a little deeper than moving interstate…

High risk, high reward type scenario.

I’d pull the trigger but would be reticent to risk any more than a 2nd round pick which may not satisfy the Dogs.

Though I’ve got the feeling that they will just be happy to see the back of him…

The massive attention a Pies player receives may mean that we’re not a great fit anyway.

I think he probably needs to reassess his career. Seems to want the cash & the lifestyle of being an AFL footballer, but not the professionalism required.

I'd be furious if he was at our club & we were paying him whilst he was attending other sporting events, clubs & bars, but couldn't even turn up to our own club's celebration game.

Yeah, he needs to decide if he wants to be a professional footballer first.

Wonder what Maynard is currently on. Around 700k? Trying to squeeze more out of the club.

If North make an offer of 4 years at 800-850 we can go one better with 5. More security at a contending club on same salary.

With retirements coming in the next year or so we will be cashed up and Maynard’s leadership will be needed more than ever.

Yeah, he needs to decide if he wants to be a professional footballer first.
Depends what the standard for being a professional footballer is. It's a genuine fact that Ginnivan hasn't exactly given up his sniff extracurricular activities and has been an off-field influence to Nick Watson. That kind of behaviour isn't exactly the picture of professionalism but they make it work.

I mean in terms of his motivation. Training etc, wanting to be there. If you want to be a bugger off field, fine, but at least make it so that you get yourself in the position to want to be a professional on field.

I am speaking for myself. That's what we all do on bf.

If multiple club's are saying 'nah thx, not interested', there's a very good reason why. They have a better idea of what his issues are than we do.
There could be some clubs that just don't want him as it doesn't suit their needs.
Think about this, get him cheap, he pulls his head in, wants his contract tripled for the next season and holds the club to ransom. Huge contract, multiple years, underperforms and goes off the rails..then Beams his way off the playing list.
You still want him now?

I don't think he suits our needs, but definitely does Dees, Swans & Lions for example. Imo, we need a young, elite mid & a key defender.

I didn't want him before you posted that horror scenario.

So yeah, it's still a no from me.

Interestingly on Gettable that Twomey listed us as being asking around for both Oscar Allen (again) and Butters. Obviously neither situation has developed much given it's March, but interesting nonetheless.

I take that talk at the Moment with a Grain of Salt

Mostly put out by Managers trying to get more money and years for the Clients

I’m not sure why people are working on the assumption that being in the limelight/having pressure of a big club is the issue with him? For all intents and purposes he doesn’t seem to be shying away from public attention at all, he was happy to be posting on Insta all week about going to different events and the pub on Saturday.

Feels to me like a case of a kid who’s come from not all that much and has been handed a bunch of money before he was ready for it, which can turn in to a train wreck but also be salvageable.

He’s good mates with Reef isn’t he? A friend from his junior days at the same club and the influence of Fly (let’s be real here, Bevo is pretty bloody polarising) could go a long way to turning him around.

Having said that I wouldn’t blame the club for steering clear either because his career as it stands right now is going down the toilet.

How can potentially the best KF in the game not suit our needs? He's just a kid. Some take longer to mature. Besides a few harmless SM posts, what has he done?

Fkng hell, the media are really wanting Bruz to leave the Pies. They've come up with multiple ways & reasons for it to happen.

Makes me want him to stay even more. The sooner he signs with us, the better.

Media would love Maynard to leave

Then they will love him
