He was being picked purely because of his size, not on the back of actual performances.

Now that option is taken away from match committee we may see what players like Sellers and Maley can bring to the table.
I’d rather the selection committee weren’t forced into a decision, actually made the call.
I guess it is all moot now.

But that’s the problem. I have no faith in our selection committee making that call.

As you said, now it’s moot as they have no option but to make a call.

I will be very disappointed if they go to the Greenwood well given what we have seen from Sellers and to a lesser extent Maley.

Personally I'd bring Sellers in for him, and Greenwood in for Sleevo. If Sellers isn't delivering then shuffle the nametags on the whiteboard and let Greenwood do the heavy lifting and someone else can play the HHF role.

I personally don’t think Maley is ready, but I wouldn’t be disappointed if they gave him a shot while his confidence would be sky high.

He looks to have something about him, but it’s a big step up to AFL level.

Those hands are ridiculous and it could very well be the point of difference that makes him an AFL level player.

i think there is an element of evaluation of his performance given he still has a lengthy contract, cant really drop him of attempt to pay him out polec style if you didnt give him a chance, and i can sort of agree with that in a period where we are evaluating rather than competing, sure as hell hope if we get back to a point where we are competing thats not the case. Really don't want to be going back the brad scott land of playing favourites regardless of form,

Without sounding like a real s**t … I was actually relieved when I saw it was just Ccj injured on the ground (don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish injuries on anyone, even opposition except for * players) 😊
But let’s face it I’m sure I was not the only one …. .
I wanted him to be dropped to the magoos to try and get better. Not be in a rehab program

So do we know how bad it is, as in did he snap it completely.
Am curious as someone who has done that and it was a complete snap, I didn't need a stretcher or the green whistle. And gee he was sucking on that like he was Razor Ray giving our opponent a free kick in the goal square.
So I'm wondering whether if partially damaged it hurts more, because his reaction to me looked like a complete overreaction.
Andrew Swallow from memory didn't look like he'd been shot, neither Goater. May well be an insight into the great lug that is CCJS.

Yeah, disappointed.
He has great hands and good body work but is an awful kick - couldn't give over the proverbial jam tin as they say.
And if he can't ruck then he's going to be a liability with his plodding and clumsy forward play.
And to give up a second round pick for next year, what, pick 23-26? Now that is plain silly.
The first 3 pages in this thread is the usual people salivating themselves over someone they’ve never watched talking about how good he’s going to be, what a great deal it is etc etc. It’s the standard Big Footy thing for any draftee or traded player.

First post to straight up call it out as a negative. Well done.

None of our 'trade-ins' or FA's have worked out so far. One of the major reasons why we are in the hole we are in. Stephens is looking shaky too, hopefully Logue and Fisher can buck the trend.

Our recruiting has been pretty pathetic.

Who wants to come to us besides the rejects though? Logue is an exception, and I imagine that him being best buds with Fisher was a big part of the latter coming over too. Really hope Stephens settles in soon but I do share your concerns about him.

We are inherently disadvantaged on this front until we start visibly climbing the ladder and look more enticing as a destination club with success on the horizon.
