As someone else wrote earlier in the thread, his tendency to float across from the side and take marks works really well off a wing. He's either marking with a height mismatch on a single opponent, or coming across as an extra for defensive contests from the side where he can use that ability to come across the front of a pack laterally and mark.

duursma does the same thing i've noticed. very very handy, especially defensively

jesus, how many did he take when he was subbed off?

Maybe he was trading in German marks and bearer bonds?
