What makes you say that?

To be fair, 'snake' is probably a bit harsh. I don't like that he was providing deliberate misinformation in relation to some of his higher profile players in relation to moves in recent years. But I understand it is a fine line for player agents in terms of what they can and cannot say.

My greater gripe is that he seems to be an agent who prefers to instigate a player move between clubs, rather than perhaps erring on the side of trying to come to terms with the incumbent club. It's all about cash, of course, and big moves mean bigger salaries and bigger commissions, but the clubs lose out.

The best outcome for Pickering in these circumstances corresponds with the worst outcome for North, and he won't give a shit about North.

Are we playing a .... Dangerous game?

Did you see what I did there, with the Danger thing? Dangerous? Yeah?

**** I want Dangerfield in blue and white.

Greenwood will only leave of his own accord. We haven't pushed players into trades yet and aren't likely to start with Levi. I'd be stoked to see him sign a new deal with us this week.

Fair enough then.

I hope Levi takes us to the cleaners, in terms of asking for a premium for his services. The way he has been handled has been extremely poor imo and hasn't been offered a contract all season.

Really, how do you know he's been handled poorly? Are you basing on the fact that he wasn't getting picked when. His form was crap?

Yes, I'm at the game getting more nervous....

Tas, can't comment on your second claim - about the contract offer - but long term his 'handling' has been excellent. Told to work on his skills, and he did, and he's a much improved player. If we didn't like his kick for goal in last quarter against Cats, his one against Essendon the week before was exemplary. Levi can burst out of the centre beautifully now and regularly kick to forwards' advantage. Kudos to BS for coaching him I reckon.

Well, he played one bad game after given a shit role and was dropped, how many games would Adams have racked up in the last two years based on that standard? How about Bastinac? Thompson this year?

We seems to try to look for ways to get the least out of him, we are either a very poor coaching club or haven't handled him particularly well. Injuries have pretty much dictated policy... injury to defenders forced Hansen back, then he started to click after we almost flushed his career down the toilet. Injuries opened the door for Greenwood to have more than a token game in some shit role.

Seriously, I am not having a crack for the sake of having a crack, if we are holding players back or stagnating player careers then we need to have a look at what we are doing. I am not convinced what we have been doing with Harper is best for his career either.

My point is there is there was a lack of consistency, you think Greenwood is the only one who has struggled to hit targets? He wasn't dropped for his skills when we got done by Brisbane, he was dropped because he couldn't play a shit negative role on Rich for four quarters.

interesting reading..."Industry sources estimated Greenwood, 25, was worth about $350,000 a season the back of his dazzling onball performance this season.
But it is believed North’s contract is worth significantly less and includes performance-based incentives.....North Melbourne has increased its offer to Greenwood from one season to two."

If this article is to be believed, no wonder talks have dragged out.
