I reckon its interesting how the TGA only made the move to reschedule MDMA and psilocybin after that Melbourne doctor took the Victorian Govt to court last year. The TGA had accepted his application to use MDMA as a therapeutic drug while it was Schedule 9 (same classification as heroin, cocaine, etc), but then Victorian Health bureaucrats over-ruled it. So he took them to court.

Then the TGA basically responded by telling the Victorian Health Dept "piss off, we're rescheduling this as Sked 8, a restricted therapeutic drug", taking the decision out of the bureaucrats and politicians hands entirely.

Turns out the fastest way to get revolutionary health care reform in this country is by getting the government to tell doctors they can't use their discretion about what's in their patients' best interests.
You sir are very well informed….

Fukc me. Where to start.
Thomas had behavioral issues when we drafted him but that was the risk we took at the time.
Fair to say our culture has failed him in the sense it’s led to this but he also has to take responsibility for that.

I think what needs to be made clear is that Tarryn is simply a fukcwit. Attitude wise. Just not someone you’ll find endearing as a teammate and it’s no secret that he’s been caught up in this crap.
But that’s okay. Fukcwits help football clubs win premierships. It’s just getting extremely difficult to manage him now.

We can’t cut him yet as he hasn’t been convicted or charged yet but I’m assuming the club is standing him down and making him attend these behavioral courses as part of a “performance management” plan that sadly, he may not be up to and then we can void his contract if he doesn’t meet those standards. Happens all the time in any professional environment for anyone whose underperforming and the club is either giving him every opportunity to change OR he’s going to find himself unemployed very soon.

I still believe that if he gets cut then in 2025-26 one of Collingwood, Richmond or Geelong will pick the campaigner up and he’ll star for them on grand final day.
It’s why Im praying he wakes the fukc up and changes his attitude.

Funny. I envision him in the colours of those exact same clubs. Must be his not insignificant campaigner vibes

Richmond, Sydney, GWS, GC will all back him in given they pay peanuts for him. And then the redemption arc can play out on the papers that these well-respected clubs with good cultures can change what North obviously couldn’t.
I can imagine the media pile on after he plays his first good game for his new club. He has faced adversity, but now he has come out a better man, a role model.

If he goes to GC he’ll end up as a Cavill Avenue King, that would be fitting.

The worst outcome for me would be he goes to * and realises his potential.

See Richmond and Sydney Stack. See Sydney and Elijah Taylor.

I have no doubt that Richmond, Geelong, Sydney and other “strong cultured” clubs would pick him up. But it would require a significant turn around in his attitude first. Something which he has shown little evidence of despite having multiple chances.

They are strong cultured clubs because they don’t put up with selfish s***.

Not sure how others feel, but I don't care about the football. If the allegations are true and he does happen to hit rock bottom and lose everything, and I'm not saying they are and he will, I would prefer he becomes a redemption story even if it were at another club, than him not atoning at all and getting worse.

We're talking about a human here.

IMO our number one hope should be that we hope at some point he turns it around, makes up for it, redeems and doesn't become lost to society. I would prefer he does that at North before he hits rock bottom, but that's secondary to wanting him to become a better man. As King Corey mentions, many mistakes have been made by people in their early 20s, and I hope everyone who makes mistakes they can redeem themselves from does so.

Watching Clarko interview to get some info before the game about the game. Todd comes out first says what’s going with Tarryn then answers questions. Big Al comes out and first question says Todd had answered everything then they ask 5 more questions about Tarryn ,*ing mind boggling stupidity. Can’t understand why I have no time for most of them.
I doubt that it was stupidity driving this line of questioning. The direction from their bosses would have been quite clear - pound Clarko and try to get him to snap.

Solid article from Jay Clark. Pay Thomas $1m then allow him a "fresh start" at another club.

So Thomas wins, another club wins and North sit in the corner like a cuck?

Media wins too :-(

What did his social media post say/ do? I honestly didn’t see it.

It was very dumb. After the reports came out of fresh allegations (we still don’t know the time frame of what’s he’s allegedly said/written happened) he posted a picture of himself on IG with the caption “are you still thinking about me”.

Sounds like someone who (a) hasn’t learned his lesson; and (b) has identity issues or anger so deep that he actually can’t stop himself from point scoring even when it’s to his own detriment. Not saying this is the case, but the behaviours are consistent with Narcissistic, Antisocial or Borderline Personality Disorder. Maybe he needs help on a more fundamental level than can be achieved through a ‘respect’ program (which clearly hasn’t worked so far).
