I'm not normally one for agreeing that the public has a right to know because normally that's the defence of a tabloid journalist justifying going through someone's rubbish bin or hacking their phone. The public doesn't have the right to know unless the public paid for it, otherwise, mind your own ******* business. However, in this case, if NMFC is going to be ****ed over by a lengthy suspension and possibly losing a top tier player for no compensation, then we, the members, deserve to know why.

He’s also on the same salary as the premier of a small state or territory, or a partner of a big national law firm, or a departmental secretary, or a brain surgeon.

If you're willing to take on that kinda salary, unless you're working in a finance/insurance/IT job where no one outside your circle cares who you are, you just gotta expect a high level of public accountability when it comes to your private behaviour.

I think he's on or around the same salary as the President of the United States.

The AFL needs to publicise what TT is being punished for to justify the suspension they have arrived at. The footy world has a right to know. The AFL can't hand out a hefty suspension and then play "I've got a secret". TT has signed a contract with a behavioural clause, which should negate his right to privacy if he has breached that clause. The complainant hasn't been identified and therefore can't have her privacy breached.

What if AFL believes that TT has done something that beaches a behavioral clause but TT does not concede that he did that act. So, for example, AFL says TT gets deregistered for doing some specific DV act, but TT says he didn't do it, and clearly the public claim that he did defames him. If it goes to court, it's the AFL that has to prove it happened. You don't want to be relying on a he said she said and you especially don't want to be relying on a single witness who might change their position.

The whole reason I've started thinking down these lines is because if the evidence was clear enough to speak for itself, why is it taking so long?

because there are lawyers involved making sure this isn't hearsay?

Did Tigers ditch Dusty, Pies - DeGoey, Bumblers- Stringer, Dees - Clarry and the list goes on, but The low hanging fruit of NMFC needs to cut TT loose. Is that knobhead speaking Corns? King needed to call him out.
Totally agree. TT can play vfl for a year and all that but do it with North. We do not need to give him up. Cornes said Stengle from Crows went to Geelong and that was a good result. For who? Geelong. Crows have had 2 fairly ordinary years without him. Dusty, Degoey, Didak, Hodge you could pull all there records apart and sack them, but they were guns and clubs stuck with them. TT is potentially a star, amazing talent. Stick with him. It does us no harm to have him on our list.

I was told same woman, but incidents that occurred after his previous punishment.
Spot on. Thats why the penalties being determined will be big. When it is announced I may be able to say a bit more.

I guess when it is announced we will all know and won’t need to hang off scraps of gossip/hearsay/insider info? can’t wait for that either way.

True. Told again announcement this coming week - but was also told that last week. Time will tell. The common link from all the 'insiders' is that the suspension will be considerable. I suspect legals are still causing the delay. I had some info from a person who has a friend in TT's loop. I don't know them so just saying what they told me. He said TT is resigned to the fact his career is over at NM, maybe footy forever. Told me a bit more I can't repeat but did say the accusations are after the last lot and based around their latest breakup. Again, I post in good faith - its what I have been told.

The " I have SWOURCESES but I'm not gonna say anything until after it is released and then claim it " is more painful than the actual TT story.

Some really strange stuff.
I finally caught up with a good female friend that works in a respected role at North. I don’t delve for details with her, but told her I had dived deeper than I like in defending Taryn on BF. She said good on you and keep doing it. He deserves support. Thought I would share.

Very sad, disappointing and terrible news for North and all our supporters. There is no excuse for any disrespectful or possibly threatening behaviour towards women, especially after the education programme and the previous unofficial suspension. TT needs to get some professional help because he clearly can't help himself if this is true. He and North don't have a leg to stand on with what the AFL ends up deciding on and will just have to cop it sweet.

I was confident we were on the way to a flag in about 4 years with all the young high end talent we have on our list. TT was going to be a vital cog in our next premiership side, so that ambition is about to receive a big kick in the guts. We will lose a highly talented player without any compensation. The totality of the assistance packages we've received from the AFL is less than what we're about to lose for SFA. North has invested a lot of time, effort and money in TT, unfortunately all for nothing. Melts from other clubs will undoubtedly say it is due to the North culture and that it wouldn't have happened at their club. The reputation of the club will take another battering.

Everyone deserves support. Even, or in fact especially, when the consequences of their actions come up.

I won't need to say anymore coz it will come out in the judgement. Just being a little circumspect.

I wish TT no ill will - hope he does get all the support he needs. But ultimately he is responsible for his actions I suppose.

An interesting point of Taryn’s current story is since Maguire Junior got his disgusting integrity leak from the AFL integrity unit is that no other leaks or details have emerged. Johnny Ralph did do a ‘no extra detail’ piece last Sunday but aside from that I think the AFL has pulled the media in and perhaps North too and said no more reports. Good on someone for respecting confidentiality. AFL will be thinking protect the brand.
So we know very little. Conjecture does nothing for anyone. Loved my North employee friend saying we support Taryn.
BTW I went to uni with Johnny Ralph: he was very young, great guy, very white, and very privileged, had no idea about how people in other socioeconomic, social disadvantage live.
I say that because I was disappointed by his piece last Sunday: no details, just airtime for a story which affected victim, Taryn, both family.
Raise the game Herald Sun. A respected HS insider said to me over summer Johnny unfortunately likes the limelight life. I grained of salted that BUT knowing him as a young man I do expect better of him and his use of his ability to report in a major newspaper.

What a load of shit. Young men that love footy need to hold to standards of a prime minister 😂 that’s a weird world view, plain and simple.
Which prime minister’s standards? Scomo? Wider afield, Trump?
Makeshift, take a reality pill.
