I haven't been exposed to Mick's opinions on Tarryn, but I try not to hear where everyone else ranks talent with relation to my own power rankings as we all need to do our own talent ID. The more you do this the more clear it becomes. That's how you get guys others don't realise are good and it's how you miss guys who are taken too early as I believe Thomas was.

If I was picking. I'd rather Noah Gown to Tarryn Thomas.

Back to analysing Thomas' u18 champs. He brought the pressure and smothered possibly a historic number of balls through the carnival. Offensively though I found myself unimpressed - offering no run or drive and not impacting games on that side of the ball.

Thomas and Jones I don't have inside my top 20s this year by contrast.

Thomas I haven't rated top-10 since he was playing u16s.

Thomas while he brings the pressure and does a lot defensively without the ball I just haven't found all that influential offensively. He seems to be someone who can focus in on one phase of the game but can't play complete games where he'll provide run, win it and put in the work defensively. He never seems to tick all three. A talent, but I'm not convinced he fulfils it.
