I am pleased the selectors made Redman wait until he was completely ready for AFL - He started to become AFL standard at the back-end of last year.

A string of injuries hasn't helped. Once he got his body right he still needed to be eased into game time.
Um, has missed 4 games of VFL over the past 3 years, 2 last year (at the very start of the year) and 2 this year (one of which I think he was held over emergency actually).

I don't think he has had a string of injuries, has he? Missed 2 VFL games with a groin last year, and 1 or 2 VFL games this year with an injury. If anything playing as much as he has in the VFL has gotten him to the level he is at now.

Played 6 of 9 VFL games this year. Missed round 3 against the Pies due to injury but pretty sure he was held over emergency in round 8.

Was confusing him with Riddles, derp. Mason did have interrupted preseasons in 2016 and 2017 though.

Staggers me that someone in an AFL press conference can be like 'wow, who is this bloke, where has he come from?' It would have taken him 2 minutes to google his name and see that he's been an emergency like 4 times this season and has been performing really strongly in the VFL.

Instead we get 'every time you guys come up here you seem to pull another guy from nowhere, I can't remember who the last one was but he was alright too' and then they all fist bump him for asking such a great question.

If this is the result of making kids wait and wait and ******* wait some more until they're ready to eat a football, then by all means, make them wait before unleashing.

In the 2s Redman more than proved his form wasn't a fluke, he'd played well in any role asked of him, his body is sound and fitness is good. Lo and behold he comes in and is in our bests.

Seems to have worked for Langford too and hopefully Francis is the next cab off the rank.

I had no problem with that question - You are inferring and probably incorrectly inferring the reporter had no idea about Redman - It was just an observation about Redman's quality performance.

Bright future with these young guns all under 25! Redman / Ridley / Daniher / Stewart /Fantasia / Guelfi / Stewart / Ridley / Begley / Langford / McGrath / Stringer / Saad / Mckeena

Would love to see Myers out and Clarke and Laverde playing his role...

Need some more key back depth & ruck. But we are covered for these spots for a few year.

Iā€™m particularly excited by the Stewart bros and the Ridley bros!!
