Good chance he will be at another club next year. Other clubs circling and he is getting no opportunities
Lol how do we manage to be shit but also have players good enough for other clubs to come head hunting languishing in the VFL. Some minnow-tier list management going on at Tulla

Easily fixed....play him.

If heā€™s getting games and still wants to leave then thatā€™s on him.

Oh yeah, I'm never worried about a player leaving at this stage.

Unless someone wants to go home, preference always seems to be to stay as long as the opportunities are there. It may even be that he is on the same page as the coaches.

"Getting no opportunities" is a bit of a stretch because until this year (and the last few rounds in particular), he wasn't exactly taking to the door with a sledgehammer. He deserves to come in sometime in the near future, but he has in no way been ill-treated by the club.

Agree with this. You should have to earn games. He's on the cusp of earning games. He'll get games. Everything is as it should be.

Us sucking this year (and our injuries) could end up having a silver lining.
Guelfi
Ridley
Langford
Laverde
Redman
Mutch
and maybe even Clarke

getting games they all need

and then there's Franga

Hasn't been ill-treated, but if you go purely off form, he probably should have played AFL this year.

If he doesn't get a gig this year, I think he's gone for sure.

Yep, he's contracted till 2019. Really don't think this is a thing at all unless Woosh and the lads decide to keep running with their 'only one BJ-looking dude in the team at once' rule.
Is he contracted until the end of this year or next year? I thought we gave him 2 years at the end of 2016 or was it 2 years after his initial contract (finishing end 2017)...I could probably just go onto the "out of contract" page and find out but it is easier just ask here.

I'm a big believer with young players debuting that you do the following where you can
1) pick them when they are in really good form
2) pick them where they can play a role that eases them in and gives them an opportunity to do well.
I think redman is Cherry ripe and Brisbane is suitable opposition.
Could be the start of a brilliant career.

Strong post to banning correlation that.

2019. End of next year. I doubt heā€™s homesick because heā€™s from Adelaide after all, but heā€™d be entitled to look for opportunity elsewhere if he doesnā€™t look like getting regular games by the end of the season. And to be honest I think if the club didnā€™t rate him enough to give him games I wouldnā€™t think theyā€™d try too hard to keep him

Shapes as a really good inclusion.

We need his height, versatility, running power and that touch of campaigner he seems to posesss. Like him for the midfield personally but the beauty of him is that he can play a role in any part of the ground.

Once in I expect heā€™ll become best 22.

i'd miss the weekend wine trips and fishing....

I'm guessing no purely because the club would never give us two things we want at the same time.

(Franger being the other)
Well you were correct...at least on one count.

Awesome to see Redman in though, very excited to see him play at the top level (really for the first time since heā€™s been ready to).
