Homemade is pretty fine fyi :)

  • 2/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/3 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried mustard
  • 4 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 teaspoons white pepper

Flour as well of course, normally I'd use thighs and cut them up.

How anyone could not like a zinger burger is very hard for me to comprehend, unless you are allergic to something or you just don't like fast food.

I’ve now watched the round 24 win against GC 3-4 times.
Can’t get enough of it.
It really is a great insight into the future and illustrates just how far we’ve come as a club. Not only from a list management perspective, but also in terms of sustained success at an elite level.

Sounds good. My biggest 'beef' is that I can never buy a piece of their signature chook that is crunchy like you see in the ads. Always comes out of a warming oven, soggy coating usually already falling away. Love the general flavour but KFC never delivers. Their chips are ok.

yeah kfc is revolting, but fresh and crunchy homemade iterations are an awesome treat.

Might have to make some tomorrow, now I think of it…

I see your point, its happened to me I think three or four times in the 24 years I've lived in South Australia but the last time was around May last year when I bought 3 zinger burgers and while two of them were amazing the third one tasted like it was left under the heat lamp for about half an hour.

Got to remember they are mainly kids in most places and they try their best, even some of the managers I've seen look like they are not long out of high school. I also think if you want some KFC like say four pieces of chicken & chips , potato and gravy and a Pepsi and when your ordering just say can you have it fresh and that you don't mind waiting for it, more often than not they're only to happy to oblige.

By the way KFC chips with extra salt are to die for they are so good. Just my opinion but McDonalds and hungry jacks fries are literally on a level of 1 to 10 don't even make it on the richter scale! Also remember their would be no KFC if it wasn't for colonel Sanders, even though he sold the company in 1964 for 2 million dollars which in todays money would be close to 20 million dollars. The fact he took care of the chicken with the [Hulk Hogan elbow} means he will always be remembered. R.I.P.

We had KFC a couple of nights ago. Was OK, but the fillets in the burgers would be lucky if they’re half as thick as they once were.

And it seems I’ve just posted a “back in my day” memory… I must be getting old!

Most of everything these days are like that. Potato chips in smaller bags but you pay the same money, golden gaytimes are so thin now its like "wow" I'm sure they weren't like that in the late 80s. Barney bananas were made with real bananas, now because of cost cutting they are not, still nice but not the same, plus many more, you get less but pay the same and in some cases you pay more, that is how the companies these days make money.

That is so true. When I was a kid we owned a milk bar and my Mum was saying just recently that pretty much all of the chocolate bars were 70g back then. They’ve just shrunk bit by bit by bit over the years. Now a lot of them are about 45g. There’s now even a term for this nonsense - shrinkflation!!

Does your weekly shop feel a little lighter or smaller? You're not imagining it, it's 'shrinkflation' - ABC News

Anyway, the sun will rise soon so at least I’ll be able to see those clouds I’m yelling at.

*Had 5 minutes spare before work.

*Wow Phillips at the top? He must be training the house down and living up to his massive potential! Can't wait to read this!

*Proceed to read about KFC IN THIS THREAD FOR 4 MINS!

*Waste the last minute writing this, off to work I go disappointed and now oddly hungry...

Its gunna be hilarious in four year after we win the flag when players like Phillips and Ford single out that game for how important it was.

I've watched the match a few times myself, and the second half in particular was very exciting, especially some the handball chains that led to goals, but there were a couple of periods in the first half where we looked a little lost and the Suns were able to kick three or four goals without much pressure. The fact that we were able to wrestle back the momentum and fight back was pleasing and instills some hope that the future is going to be so much brighter.

And because I'm in the WP thread I should say I thought it was one of his best performances as well, his clearance work was very good and some of his kicks to a teammate were "centremetre perfect". I think he is going to be a big part of dominant midfield in years to come.
