a Scare on 87 :thumbsu:
The last couple of digs I have been really impressed by Warner, he's really learned how to craft an ODI innings :thumbsu:

and yet going at the pace Forrest hit his century in, which was apparently too slow for One day cricket.

But I like it anyway. Warner needs to be less like Sehwag and more Like Watson with his batting. His last 2 have been slow (run a ball, and SR:71) by his standards but solid innings.

that's a terrible drop. would've been an ideal time for sri lanka to bring a new batsmen in.

wasn't a 100% sitter, but was easy enough, and was at a crucial stage at the innings that chances like that just HAVE to be taken. a new batsmen in there means australia are going to struggle to make 260.

Seems like the pitches this year have been a touch slower or with a touch more grass than the batting paradises we used to serve up regularly in the past. 270-280 have been pretty decent scores this summer

Just checked the scores (at work). What's up with Warner? Did the painkillers for his groin get mixed up with sleeping tablets?

started a bit slower, which was allright, started to get a move on and got his trirke rate at nearly 80 (was 80 of 104), but has stalled completely since then.

clarke is teeing off now.

2 down after 40 overs should see a minimum of 280, but pushing 300. still a long way off, but clarke is just letting loose now.

kulasakera's drop catch is looking horrible now. malinga's not much better, though even if he took that it would've been six. his foot touched the rope in attempting the catch.

would like both of these to get out. way too slow at the moment.

clarke?? even though you posted that prior to this over, he was still going out faster than run a ball at that stage.

warner on the other hand has struggled since the end of the power play.

jawawardene blowing up massively. was a no ball for sure.

not sure what mahela is crying about, the sri lankan batsmen complained until they got a no ball called in the first final.

Still these umps let all the skippers rabbit on far too much, if they won't back off then send them off.
