Last test, there were a bunch on here squealing after Shami got hit, that the Australian bowlers were bullies for bouncing tail enders.

On a completely different note it has been really interesting listening to the commentary about how thorough the plans to the batsmen have been for this test. Does this suggest that Kohli does not put the effort in to opposition planning that he should?

I am surprised Paine who the media seem to think is one of Australia's greatest ever Test Captains, wicket keepers and players fails again.
???

He's the best keeper in the country at the moment, he's done bloody well as captain during his stint, and he averages above his career batting average whilst captain. What precisely is your issue?

I might be showing my age here, but have cricket grounds stopped the practice of cheap tickets for the final session? Turned up hoping for a beer and some wickets, tickets still full price of $160.

CA need as much money as possible to ensure they can continue to give their bloated administration and coaching staff pay rises year on year.

He is okay but the praise has been way over the top this week in the media. Some were suggesting he could open.

Statistically he has the 2nd best batting average of an Australia wicket keeper after Gilchrist and has been playing most of his career as the captain, he is a players captain, not the best technical captain.

Australia’s top and middle order today showed about as much application and concentration to the job at hand as my 7 year old niece to tidying her bedroom while the tv is on with cartoons

In fairness to the middle order, they are getting exposed very early.

This is a partisan website. Only difference between the cricket forum and the Bay is that one of them sporadically breaks out an interesting conversation about pretty batting.

Could be. Perhaps it's a failure of execution in the previous test, coupled with - if we're honest - a once in a lifetime set of spells from Hazlewood and Cummins.

At the current rate even with the extra half hour we will only get through 83-84 overs for the day, surely run penalty for India must apply for such a shocking over rate.
