3 scumbag thugs at Sunshine station

The footage below from the Herald Sun website shows three scumbags kicking a young man in the head at Sunshine Station yesterday over and over, rendering him unconscious. The police are appealing for witnesses. The three male offenders are more than likley from an African nation. My question is, why are we allowing these scumbags a) in the country and b) letting them stay in the country? I know the political correcters will try and make excuses for them but nobody, I don't care what sort of background or up bringing they have, has the right to do what these three absolute pricks did to the poor fellow. And I don't care whether the victime is a saint or not, it is ludicrous that this occurs and these three melon's should be caught, punished and deported quicker than we can say "justice".

Its really terrible reading about things like this. We are becoming more and more like the US every day.

I guess, there are many different elements which make up why we are becoming more of a violent society. You mention immigration as a cause, but IMO it is more to do with the justice system Australia has. It is too soft on violent crimes.

Personally, I wouldn't judge all sudanese based on these three offenders. But the one thing I really believe, is that Sudan being in a civil war, shouldn't be used as mitigating circumstances to lessen any penalty for offenders found guilty. IMO violent crimes should be treated the same by courts, no matter where you were born. You shouldn't get a discount because you come from a country experiencing civil war. Everyone should be responsible for their actions and we should all abide by the same laws of the land.

If they have been granted residence here, i reckon they should be deported immediately. I don't give a **** if they're from some shitty nation where they have a life expectancy of 20. Our society should not be forced to deal with these ********s for whatever reason.

You cant tell they're going to do this when they apply (that is they weren't born here) though Bodicifer. Everyone deserves a chance.

Me too. Seeing a (most likely) foreign immigrant doing this is even more offensive. Our nation gave them the chance to start a new life in our country and this is what they do. I'd feel the same way if they were French, British, Croation, Russian etc.

It's insulting considering what we, the taxpayers, have/are providing them.

Thats true. Many of them are hard working honest citizens.

Although having said that, IMO the department of immigration need to take a bit of responsibility with immigrants from countries in civil war. Sudan is a war torn country in the middle of civil war. Many people there live from day to day, not knowing if they or their family will live to see the next day. There are many atrocities committed on a regular basis. So I really feel sorry for these people living there. But it must be hard to live in such circumstances and then be flung into a society with millions of rules. It would be such a shock to the system.

This is where IMO the government should take some responsibility. Yes, it has a responsibility to help these unfortunate people but it has more of a responsibility to its citizens, to provide as safe as environment as possible. The government agencies should do everything in its power to try and ensure that violence and lawless incidents don't take place, or at the very least to minimize it.

I get the impression, that the government takes in refugees because it is forced to to take a certain quota by United Nations. It places them in lower socio economic areas, and then leaves it up to welfare or the police to deal with the problems.

Some people would argue that all it takes to be labeled racist is to employ race terms (e.g. African, Asian etc.) even if negative connotations are not associated with these terms. I do not necessarily agree with this point of view.

I am of Australian decent...if someone says I am of Australian decent when I am overseas I do not feel racially vilified.
