Charlie currently 3rd in the league for intercept marks per game, behind only Harris Andrews and Sam Taylor. Top 20 for contested marks as well.

Yes good call, well we are pretty good at getting other clubs players a pay rise. Out of all of them over the years, how many actually went elsewhere.
I'd suggest not many lol.

Player Manager - right it's contract time.
Player - ok
Player - what's the plan.
PM - same as last time
Player - ring Brady?
PM/player - (high five)
I can tell you for a fact that Hawthorn & 1 other club have made an offer to him. Contracted to the end of 25 but clubs already more than sniffing around.

Much prefer him as a defender for now until W. Dawson is fully capable of holding down his role. Looks like a much better defender than forward anyway and performing way better than I expected given his lack of experience.

A pillar in the backline much like tarrant was.

Him and dawson will form a very strong pair.

I reckon he can be a swing man, that would mean more forward minutes going forward as we seem to have the backline potentially sorted with will dawson and logue on the return radar.

Fwd however we need someone desperately that can compete in the air,

No no no no, you don't become an excellent by being a swingman.

He must be chb doing interception role.

Which Dawson?
dawsons creek dawson GIF

How did he get there?

They drafted him at pick 5 and cos he was from Melbourne's academy and that rule about academy's came in that year - when GC drafted him, Melbourne couldn't match. Just looked it up and apart from Charlie Constable at 63 he was their only pick in the ND that year. The got Casboult at 3 in the Rookie Draft, Jaz McLennan around 20 and two of their own academy selections at the very end of the RD. One of them is Bohdi Uwland who was one of their best against us in Darwin.

They got their own academy pick that draft and someone else's that year.
