Those against greenwood selection he's only 2cm less then sellers and has a good leap.. last year when he played chf towards the end of season he made our forward structure look much better aswell not to mention we might now actually get some tackles in 50

I'm genuinely okay with the 22.
Tucker should be sub.
Stephenson should be on his last chance.
Would want to see more from Stephens too.

But overall, the 22 we've selected I would really only like to see Sellers in and Bergman if he wasn't injured. Logue the other.

There are minimal shitmen in this week. Lets see what the sides made of.

Honestly, the changes aren't too bad, would've just liked to see Sellers in rather than Shiels, but he'll get his chance.

On a positive note, I think this is a signal from Clarko that he thinks we're a real chance to pinch this one. Get a couple of vets in to protect the mids and give Larkey a chop out up front, rather than blooding more youth.

OUT: Pink & Lazzaro who both said Parmi, in fact Laz was adamant that it was a Parmi.
IN: Comben & Sheils who both said Parma.
there are no coincidences

Greenwood should have been in round 1 and we badly need another mature body in the midfield.

That should be the last we see of Pink. We should have recruited Joel Hamling who Sydney picked up.

I quite like the side all things considered. Bad signs for Phillips. Clearly Clarko doesn’t rate him to pick a greying Shiels in front of him, who is 33 and starting to resemble a relief science teacher.

I think you can get away with 3-4 changes a week but making 5-8 changes in a week is kind suicidal imo, especially to the youngest and least experienced team in the comp. It doesn't give the team a chance to develop any chemistry and tipping out experienced and bigger bodies I don't think is wise against a top 4 team. We'll see how it works out for the GC Suns I guess.

Before everyone has a bunch of revisionism about key defenders we could have picked up, remember we tried for them all and they didn’t want to come to the second worst team in the league. I could see the appeal in playing key back in Sydney over us.

I saw enough from Pink to think he’ll be on our list for a while, he’s good backup, but needs experience and some more size to compete with the best forwards. Poor guy got an absolute baptism of fire in his first few weeks, hopefully he learns from it.

Is that really the case that we went to a series of state league or listed non playing key defenders and they knocked us back? Can’t recall Hamling saying no, who is in the exact same spot at Sydney he was at Freo not getting a game.

I wish Pink well and perhaps my comment was harsh. The problem for him is he gets outbodied and beaten overhead consistently. He’s mature age and while he will get weaker opposition he can probably negate, it’s not a solution for us beyond a break glass one when mass injuries strike.

Compare him to Grima when he first came in at a similar age.

I simply disagree.

I thought Pink had some genuinely good moments and some pretty poor moments, but that's to be expected when you're playing your first AFL games against the teams that are currently 1st, 2nd, and 6th on the AFL ladder, including against multiple AA and Coleman Medal KPFs.

I have no idea why but a couple posters here seem to have been dead set on rooting against Pink before he ever set foot on an AFL field.
I'm not rooting against him, and certainly wasn't before he played a game. I was hoping he'd be a solution to our key defensive issues. But outside of that first half against freo he has been downright calamitous and looks absolutely nowhere near afl level
