God I hope Wellsy is back this week.

Under-performing or not, footy is not the same with him not out there.

I know where you're coming from, but I don't want to see him in until he is 100%. He doesn't strike me as strong mentally type of guy, so him not being able to do the things he wants to do on the field can really effect his confidence. Given the way this season is panning out, there is no point rushing him too soon.

Agree. What I find interesting is that apparently Wells can't play with injuries - however he will end up missing at least 4-5 games. That doesn't sound like someone who can't play with injuries - it sounds like someone who shouldn't be playing with an injury.

The 26-year-old also sustained a small medial ligament tear in the same knee in the second-quarter incident, however, chief of football Donald McDonald was confident Pratt would still return within three weeks.

"We hope he's an outside chance of two weeks," McDonald told kangaroos.com.au.

I'm reassured.

Very well said, Shinte.

Pratt lines up for Roosters

NORTH Melbourne deputy vice-captain Daniel Pratt will make a rare appearance with North Ballarat in a top-of-the-table clash in the Victorian Football League on Sunday.

Pratt returns from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee against the unbeaten Williamstown at Williamstown.

He has missed three weeks.

The key defender hobbled from the ground with cartilage damage against Collingwood on May 1.

This will be just his second game with the Selkirk Roosters, which sit third with just one loss.

Pratt's only other time in North Ballarat colours was in 2006 _ the first year of the Kangaroos and Roosters alignment.

Pratt goes in for Ed Lower, who also had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee after being injured against Casey Scorpions on Sunday.

This is Lower's second operation inside 12 months.

Shoulder surgery meant the North Melbourne-listed Lower missed out on playing in the Roosters' premiership last season.

While the news is not good for Lower, Kangaroos forward Michael Wundke has made a full recovery from what was first feared to be an Achilles tendon injury and will line up for North Ballarat.

Wundke struck trouble in the opening term on Sunday.

Roosters football manager Marg Richards said Wundke had been diagnosed with what was best described as a "corky" just above the right Achilles.

She said he had completed all training sessions with North Melbourne this week.

Cam Richardson, who also limped from the ground in the win over Casey, is another to have been given a clean bill of health.

The inclusion of Pratt provides North Ballarat head coach Gerard FitzGerald with a wealth of riches in defence, joining specialists Shaune Moloney, Michael Searl, Shannon Watt, Marc Greig, Matt Sharkey and Dan Feery.

Pratt has been named on a half back flank, with ferry to start on interchange.

Dean Chester (thigh) remains on the sidelines after pulling up sore on the eve of the Casey encounter and will have to wait at least another week before staking his claim for a spot back in the team.

Two good signs.....Pratty back on the park and Wundke doesn't have an achilles problem. If he did, and if it was half serious, he'd be toast for the year. I look forward to Pratty returning, but doing so in better form than that displayed post chicken gate!!!!!

Was it just me who had no problem with Pratt's form pre-injury? I thought he had once again been excellent down back. For mine, he gets through this game OK he is straight back in. He doesn't have to re-earn his spot.

Yea I thought he was pretty good without being outstanding but a lot of people on here are talking like he was disgracing himself.

I thought he was terrible before his injury. The rushed behind incident was the pinnacle of his indecision - this from the guy who has been incredibly cool under pressure for the last couple of seasons.

I suspect that his pre-season interruption meant that he lost some of his run, and reduced his confidence.

Because of this, I've got no problems about him playing in the VFL... if he needs another week to get his fitness up to scratch I'd be fine with that, too. Coming back half-baked isn't going to help anyone.

Had an option as well to use up the ground. Like many of our players, fails to use the first option, and often results in turnovers or putting team mates under pressure. Having said that, like most of our guys, at that time, just looked to have run out of legs.

Thats a lie!

He had 4 St kilda players in front of him.

You could tell half way through the third quarter that it was all over.

We were still in front on the scoreboard, but looking at the efforts and energy of the two groups of players on the park, it was very much a matter of Saints by how much.

Shame that the injury toll ruined the chance for us to run the game out.

Club says Simmo and Pratt were playing on one leg for most of the last quarter. Just how long was the injury toll today?

SEN says we were playing with 17 men for 60% of the final quarter.

Wells couldnt move due to an adductor strain.

Wright hurt his knee. He is OK.

Warren got a broken cheekbone.

Power's lights go turned off.

Weren't travelling to well.
