can he play midfield ?? if he can get outside space any forward with a decent lead will kick bags
I don't think he has an obvious position TBH.

He looks like a guy that could play as a back pocket, roaming half back, maybe a medium interceptor, possibly on the wing, maybe even a high half forward if he had the craft. Don't think he has the grunt to play inside mid though (not yet anyway).

He's hard to place so he might just stay as that medium defender long term.

He’s a replacement for Nathan Broad except upgraded with elite kicking skills

2 weeks on the trot this bloke has kicked cm perfect passes into the fwd line that even bozos Samson Ryan and Kozitsche couldn't help but mark. Needs to be moved closer to goals somehow, be it HFF? Maybe spend some time on a wing? If Tom Lynch was leading several times a game to Tom Brown passes laces out game over. We've got so much coverage that Trezise could do a similar job to Brown down back. But the gains would be massive getting him closer to attack. Hell he might even be able to make an adequate fwd option out of Kozitsche or Ryan until a better alternative shows up?

I would be training ground ball skills like a mother ****er and running some drills with the mids

Play him off the back of the stoppage looking for the seagull cheap ball get and push high half forward in general play

Leave him be! FFS lets not turn him into a perpetual swingman back and forth like Balta!
Completely different situations
Balta got moved due to necessity due to our lack of key position depth where a potential Brown move would purely be a luxury one

That also benefits other players

No its not! It's called disruption of a player's development!

Na, plenty of players make moves at similar stages

Heck every midfielder pretty much starts off as a forward these days

It’s the perfect time to experiment in a year that is a dead rubber anyway

Why you thumbs down this guys recruitment?
I don't recall thumbs downing the recruitment of Brown, particularly as I've liked how he goes about it the past couple of years. There must be more to it - isn't he the son of Geelong's Paul Brown?

Some context for you - it was more about using that pick no:

Ahh makes sense then. Saw a thumbs down on the kids opening post and thought wtf. Remind me of my good friend Sir_Loin and the Shai Bolton pick 😁

Have it on pretty good authority Sydney wanted this kid with the pick after ours.

I love most things Richmond, can be a bit blinded by the yellow and black - just don't put it out there as strongly as some.

I think Geelong were into him too, naturally enough. He always had good things said about him from multiple Clubs.

I recall really wanting recruit Finn Callaghan and also Josh Sinn in the 2021 Draft, but Finn went way early.
