3 goals in the first quarter?

He's back!

Re: 31. David Hale

Hale is must trade at the end of this year. a Full Forward that can only kick 21 goals is pathetic, he must go. hopefully a late second/early 3 round pick for him. maybe a straight swap for Mitch thorpe? doubt it though

He will kick 22 goals this year, all from free kicks.

He will then be rested for the finals.
Well Done Mate.

UPDATE - I have now revised my prediction to 22 goals for the season. 1 goal/game from a full-forward is all you can ask IMO. Thank F**k we signed him up til 2013.
NMFC Football Dept = Astute.
Fair Revision Mate. Eventhough yah made a number of them.

UPDATE - Bluddy Hale was more useless than my grandma on viagra today. 2 good games out of 11 now for the 9th wonder of the world. He'll be lucky to kick 22 goals for the season. 1 goal/game? That's handy.
Lucky Indeed Mate.

straight swap......What do you think?

As bad as Hale's year's been, and as much as a pace injection would assist us going forward, I reckon we could get a better deal than just a straight swap in this case spurs.

Do you think Pearce would fit in - i know he has pace but fu..k he is soft. Hale will only go if we can get a first round pick for him i reckon. Im sure they will hang on to him in the hope he has a reasonable 2010 which would in turn give the club more market value and then trade him to the GC. Given the compirmised drafts it seems logical.

I know we need Pace but why not chase pace, skill and aggression - i dont think Pearce has the most important one.

I reckon that's about the only thing we'd trade him for. It may yet happen but I doubt we'll be the one's driving it. If sides question his availability I reckon reply with "for your first round pick, yes!"

I hear the Dogs have salary cap issues.

Why not straight swap Hale for Griffen? or Hale for Ward?

Otherwise the GC should give us a top 10 pick next year for him.

This is the option that appeals to me. Game time in 2010 where he can still show something. GC will have numerous high picks burning holes in their pockets and a necessity for experienced players to be brought to the club. They aint gonna get superstars, so we could get a decent pick for Krusty.

We could hopefully pick up the younger Swallow with the pick as well!

I dont mind Pearce at all.He was one of the elite midfielders a few years back and is still young.Hale has been playing 2s for half the year the other half he has been crap.We need to be realistic here.We have the in and unders and what we lack is pace

Yeah I'm all for it. BUT I would stipulate in Pearce's contract that he is not allowed to get `home-sick'.
