Finally putting it together consistently. Just needs to get over his mental demons in front of goal. Constantly misses left, seems like he doesn’t kick through the ball.

I saw him slot through a 50 metre goal from hard on the boundary down at Werribee when I first saw him play (quote):

No surprise that Mason is thriving now he can play the role he's best suited to - third tall.

A number of times in the last few weeks Brown and Larkey have held down the big defenders in a contest and Mase has taken them mark.

He's not a true KPF and asking him to play as one hurt him and us. But as a third tall he's too much for most third defenders.

No, a tad harsh MickyI think it's normally those in the super coach brigade that get swept up in an occasional good to solid performance, not those that have continually questioned the value of this bloke to our side.

He's flaky and cannot be trusted. And today was further example of that. 2012 was when we drafted him and he's just played 50 games. Do we want to improve and challenge for a flag or continue on the Brad path and beat up on average sides? with average footballers?

Typical Mason game of when he is off he is right off.

The problem with Mason is that because of the type of player he is, he finds it hard to impact the contest when he is off. When he is off I would look at shifting him to a wing and see if you can get him into the game.
