This was my biggest concern as well. He looked to be out of touch with the zone.
Contrary to others, with the little ball he had yesterday, I don't think he used it THAT bad. Could have been better, though.

Didn't make a mistake by foot as far as can remember. His shot for goal was pretty crappy though. Thought he was actually really good for us in defence, made a couple of rebounds happen with intent, including the team goal of the night.

Yeah, his shot for goal was pretty average. But, by and large, his disposal on the night was quite solid.

Will get another chance, hope he takes it. I still remember him shredding Port 2 years ago

Watching at the ground I was struck that he often wasn't in position. It looked like he was caught trying to play a zone without having enough familiarity with it (Jetta-esque). He seemed caught in no man's land a few times.

Plus he still cannot use the footy. Even when it isn't a wobbler he doesn't do much with it.

I noticed that he struggled with his positioning too. I still think he needs a few full games before any decisions are made though.

They both probably struggle with the zone because they are usually playing V.f.l without one right?

I think there is a lot to that. The total chaos that is a VFL match compared with an AFL match cannot be the best preparation for guys to come into bit part midfield roles.

I thought Colyer had a disappointing game. Thought his game was a similar standard to Jetta's last two games at AFL level. And Jetta is a good ball user. The signs are pointing downwards.

Stoked little Trav got a full game and duly rewarded with arguarbly his best all round game for the club.

22 possessions (11 kicks, 11 h/b's) 6 marks and the lone tackle. Really enjoyed the couple of times he ran and took the game on. Would love a .gif of bill Will's face when he lumbered after the rocket running around him.

Hope he can build on this form and may snatch another year on the list, he is exactly the type of player that our side needs to fully compliment our inside mids.

Positive step forward today for Colyer, would definitely give him another full game in the 1's (not sub) to see if he can build on it. He could potentially be a big positive for us in the second half of the year. Dunno if he will make it or not but he's worth a few games for us to find out for sure. Absolute jet speed, kicking was actually pretty solid other than the one bad decision in the back half and actually set up a few goals with some of his kicks.

thought he went missing in patches, but overall he was quite good. Has that real line breaking pace that we are short of in the middle, and his disposal looks to have improved.

I don't think it is about improving his disposal, is more to do about his decision making than anything

definite signs of life. funny what a few full matches in a row does. i think we'll see the fireworks in fhe next couple of matches as he gets even more comfortable at the level and can find more easy ball in space.

Was Colyer's best game for the club probably.. but I'm not sold.

When he uses his pace the disposal eff goes out the window.. and I'm not sure he has the tank to play a full game.. looked out of it in the 4th quarter around the ground.

Probably gets another run next week.. but how he is considered better than Jetta remains another mystery to me.

This

Stoked he got a second game in a row and here hoping he can get another 5+ games for the year as he really does add something very different to our side.
