Yeah the bloke’s a shoulder guru.

After my own second reco I made the mistake of praising him to his face and adding “what a waste of two years I had leading to seeing you. Tens of physio appointments, sports medico’s doing manipulation and eventually cortisone injections followed by guided ones under Xray or MRI and then the hydrodilatation injections at Vic House to free up the joint. All pointless!”

I say mistake because he responded with “well I can’t see everyone…….I don’t have the time!” in a stern voice. We got through that and were very well acquainted by the final appointment post the 3rd.

Rapt for Sausage. He’s made the right impression around the team and club and we are indeed backing him in. It sends the right message to the rest of the boys that we’ll stick by you as well, which could be important among the group as we rise.
He didn’t do my rotator cuff, but I know a guy that did have him do the surgery and I can confirm that Hoy is a genius.
This guys recovery was so much faster than mine (though not all rotator cuff injuries are the same), he was doing stuff that I could only dream of early in his rehab.
Having said that, my specialist in Wangaratta did a great job of mine, 8 years on, no dramas, golf, kayaking, etc, no problems at all.

The biggest weapon and point of difference he has, is the ability to kick 55-60m.
There's not that many around the comp who can get that sort of distance regularly these days.
Can't wait to see the Sausage in action at AFL level, being able to use his kicking to break lines and upend opposition defensive structures.

Haha, yes, Greg’s beside manner isn’t what I’d call the greatest! Called by my room post op for about 1.3 seconds, slapped me on the shoulder he had just operated on (which bloody hurt) and said it went very well. 😂

What will we be able to do differently this time for Sausage, I understand maybe half his initial rehab was done outside the club for his first one due to not have been drafted yet but what would be making the club so confident?

Did the surgeons provide Brayden with some bubble wrap and foam padding as well in the post Op checkout? 😎

Was so glad to see the 2 year extension given by the Club. It will be a fantastic perseverance story when he gets on the park and starts contributing in late 2025. He, we and the club need a good break (no pun intended!!)

Brayden George - Knee/shoulder
Expected return: TBC

"Brayden is making great progress with his recovery from that knee repair – showing minimal swelling and good range of movement.

"In light of the long-term nature of the ACL repair, we had Brayden reviewed for shoulder instability off the back of medical assessment.

"The decision was made to have this shoulder repaired at this point while early in his knee rehab so that it enables a clean run at his footy when he returns next year."

We are getting excellent value with our Health Insurance this year with Sausage. He will be the #1 ticket holder in the Rehab room.

So Brayden is dealing with a shoulder and knee? Man poor campaigner. For someone that can pack on size and protect his joints. He has copped it
