But because of the area of the hamstring that was injured, they wanted to ensure he didn’t reinjure himself.

They’ve been building him for another 5 or so weeks.

He’s a chance for selection IMO.

All those people commending us on not bring guys straight back in, but making them earn a spot seem to have gone away or changed. I guess 11 on the injury list will do that. If he plays and does his hammy in the first quarter, plenty of people will hang it on the high medical staff.

Surely, he needs to play in the VFL first. And I am a fan of Guelf.

I think this sums him up pretty well. If we are to improve as a side then perhaps only one of Menzies, Guelfi or Snelling can play that half forward marking, linking role. Guelfi probably does it best but Snelling does it most consistently. Menzies probably hits the scoreboard more than the other two though so it's a difficult one.

If it's a straight shoot between him and Snell for that pressure forward role I think it has to be Guelfi.

Pressure and tackling probably much the same you'd say, but greater kicking penetration, a bigger frame, strong hands overhead and a marking presence on the lead.

For me, he's a lock.
