Have we seen the last of him at RFC?

Concussion protocol means he’ll miss next weeks final VFL game aswell so his season is likely over, neither team looks making finals & doubt he makes selection for port

The fact that we will most likely have 4 retiring players means I'd doubt we delist him.

Why would we get rid of the kid with the most talent on our list?

Half decent preparation by the interviewer would’ve been nice.
Everyone has a podcast these days, and half of them think they can just wing it. It could be so much better.
Thought Cumbo said all the right things tho. I like him. He could go crazy this year.
Most interesting part was his acknowledgment that players actually scroll thru social media and read the stuff posted about them.

jeez let Cumbo finish what he was saying...stop interrupting...
Wanted to hear Cumbo flesh out the questions more...before you butted in...
HAAHAaaa...meeting Dusty for the first time..."what have I done here?!?"..
Cumbo comes across as a nice kid!:thumbsu:

* that interviewer is annoying. Asks a question and then interrupts him with another one before he's had a chance to answer it.
Interviewer seemed like he was a family friend. Reckon he knew all the answers and that was the problem, answers didn't interest him was just rapid firing through them.

I thought I was the only one that found that interviewer both irritating and annoying doing that so called interview with cumbo...
Cumbo was the ideal interviewee...not a single UMM, ARRR, or a pregnant pause and/or dead silence...
Cumbo was happy to chat along ....and offer some insights as well...which we as the viewer never got to hear, developed, because the so called interviewer seemed hell bent on interrupting cumbo with his own insightful (NOT!) questions...
Would have loved to heard him chat about his first day at the Club, training...who was the funniest player...what where your first impressions of the greats of the Team...what was it like after a loss...after a win...what was dimma like after a loss...etc...Gale...
Where where you living...who with...blah blah...cumbo's first impressions are GOLD! that's what you want as a bona fide interviewer!
The set was professional enough...the rug a tad busy!

Interesting interview, once you stop listening to the interviewer. Math not Cumbo's strong point I suspect. Got to Qld aged 9 or 10, but started school in Qld Grade 1 or 2. Doesn't really matter though, he's clearly getting his life in balance now, was attentive, made some good references indicating maturity and has his eye on the prize.

Right from the get go seeing him up here in Qld, always thought he had some strong Dusty traits in his footy - so was rapt we stole him from Brisbane.

Different route to so many young players these days. Leaving school year 9, immature in many respects going into the workforce (as most would be at that age). Took him a while to understand the requirements of an AFL life, unlike the private school training that so many draftee's who have it drummed into them. No wonder he had a bit of trouble fitting into Dimma's pretty strict regime by the end of his days at Richmond. Round peg square hole. A little older and wiser now.

Interesting part of the interview where he was talking about those players that had a free rein like Dusty and Bolton. Can't have to many, so he was free when Dusty wasn't there and a role player when he was (paraphrasing). Playing higher up now to be a more balanced player. I wonder if Yze will continue with the free reign to Dusty thing, or make him play a bit more defensively. Bolton the same. One in all in.

I think Cumbo saying learning wasn't his strong suit, probably plays into Dimma's frustration with him.

When left to do his thing, he played really well, when forced to play well within a structure (constantly think) wasn't his go.

Be interesting with Ooze's supposed freed up style whether that suits CumDog

Then he is a suburban footballer and wont succeed at AFL if he doesnt learn

Whats his pass mark for 2023
15+ games and 25+ Goals imo

Running out of time cumbo
