Good ******* point.

How about no ******* interviews in international games?

But no, interviews from players attracts more people which attracts more money.

And we all know CA only care about money.
Sometimes they are good but sometimes they are cringe worthy. Maxwell couldn't hear the questions properly and clearly wanted to get back to his fielding position. Warnie couldn't stop talking his autistic nonsense and maxy had to look awkward and confused

It was a suboptimal outcome for those who would ordinarily affiliate with an Australian success story. One would argue that if the bowlers managed to keep the opposition to less than our total a win may have been achieved

Finally somebody speaking my language!

On record as saying I hate the on-field, in-game stuff with a passion.
You have athletes giving cliched responses that add absolutely zero to the viewer experience.
It reeks of amateur hour.
It is creeping into major sport everywhere.
Years ago they banned ear-pieces being worn from the dressing room to the field, but we now allow full-blown interviews mid-innings.

Dhoni without doubt, Man of the Series!

What do you think Richard Pryor
Would have been a great innings if he was batting at 7 and India had lost a bunch of wickets in quick succession.

Do not see the benefit or tactical nous in coming in at number 4 chasing a tiny target and stonewalling until the last five overs. Less a choice and more the result of Dhoni's batting gameplan being as adaptable as Shahid Afridi's. Turned a drubbing into a close finish.

Full credit to India for setting the scene for grandpa to get the win.

The adaptability of his gameplan is rather irrelevant when it’s as successful as it is.

i liked michael clarke, adam gilchrist, brad hogg in the commentary box along with indian commentators props to Sony for bringing them throughout this tour.

Thought MS was past it before the series, boy was I wrong. Well deserved MOTS. Aced that chase and targeted the lesser bowlers, which has always been his approach. I'll back the team's judgement on this one, they haven't got much wrong on this tour.

Number 4 is where he's best suited though. Need a glue to hold the batting together between all the attacking players.

Also Jadhav is a very valuable ODI cricketer.

Both players have sealed their spots and batting positions in the side, which answers a couple of questions for the WC team. My preferred side would be -

Rohit
Dhawan
Kohli
MSD
Jadhav
Karthik/Pant ... would like to see him get a go
Pandya
Jadeja
Bhuvi
Chahal/Kuldeep ...would love us to play both but Jadeja has been good + can bat a bit and his fielding is electric
Bumrah

Also, the King with two out of three series wins. Would've been 3/3 if not for the rain! Not bad at all.

You won't be playing that Australian line up in the WC man, we'll add arguably the best batsman in the world, another top 5 ODI bat and 2 of the meanest fast bowlers on the planet, on English pitches.

Lost them a WC semi-final which trumps a hundred wins in five match series dead rubbers. Has also relied on others throwing their wickets away keeping the RR afloat to be successful at times.

He also won them a World Cup final which you conveniently omitted here.

If I am not mistaken I think India were missing a few players too?

Smith and/or Warner are past their best. And Cummins + Starc won't be swinging the ball wildly if this current summer is anything to go by.

Will be the first to admit he would have an impeccable legacy if he retired five years ago. To clarify my argument is that he is a has-been not a never-was.

Sure, but at the same time you suggested that he mainly performs in dead rubbers and places undue pressure on others which is pretty secondary to the fact that he has been an immense player who has won many matches for India in pivotal and inconsequential matches
