Yawn.. Another thread

You lot are a funny bunch and the lack of football intelligence on this board is a worry :thumbsu:

Hehehe...Your the funny one...

You tell me the last bloke for north who had 27 touches and 2 goals and got dropped ??

You dont think he got dropped because the coaching staff weren't ashamed at the 8 times he never went in for the hard ball or shirked the issue??

People like you would keep guys like him in the team and wonder why you are going no where fast....

Well lets drop the whole team then!! It was a piss weak performance from everyone, singleing him out is just ludacris. Not every player is cut out to be a in and under player, its just the way LA is ie: Wells.

End of story!

Don't lump Wells in the same category as LA!

LA is a squib of the highest order and has copped his just desserts for playing unaccountable, soft, unskilled footy.

There's a massive difference between not going in hard and outright avoiding the contest. LA goes out of his way to avoid the contest.

I just dont understand why some players are given 80+ games of this type of shit before they are dropped and others half the chance.

You question our intelligence and then say dumb shit like that?

what is wrong with you man?

Wells is an outside player and is in the team BECAUSE HE CAN HIT TARGETS BY HAND AND FOOT. Also doesn't squib it.

Theres a reason Wells and Harvey get tagged regularly and Anthony doesnt.

The sheep on here can't see that.

I'm guessing Primus is feeling mighty pissed off at the moment. He now has lost the loose man that would normally sag off Anthony and will be hoping like hell his replacement can give Port a few easy turnover goals.

Ever thought its our gameplan that may be the issue? The amount of pressure your under to try finding a target by hand is more immense then what it is by foot. Again, someone with lack of intelligence like the lot of you wouldnt understand as by the sounds of it have never put on a pair of footy boots.

Yeah and that reason is because LA has not realy played in about a year or so and doesnt quite have the Reputation of a Wells.

Believe it or not, and i could not care less in the slightest oif you dont, But LA has been better this season thus far then Wells.

I think you're being a bit unfair. I, like you, thought that some of Anthony's decision making was a bit ordinary but when he came off for a break he was blowing a gale. He was busting his guts, unfortunately, he ****ed up a few things that can't afford to be ****ed up, like turning the ball over, and I'm with everyone else in that he has deficiencies that need to be worked on, but he is having a go, to the best of his ability.

Then what's LA's excuse, he is often under no pressure and still manages horrific clangers.

LOL! At least I can happily say that I never dogged it on a footy field, LA can't even go a game without dogging it. Might have been times players in our side haven't run as hard as they should of, but I don't recall many actually going out of their way to avoid a contest like LA.

Instead of footy boots, maybe ballerina shoes might be a better fit for LA? Might improve his disposal too;)

Well as far as I'm am concerned he can give the best of his ability to Werribee or North Ballarat.

I'm not questioning that he runs, I am questioning his courage and overall will to step up to the contest when required.

As far as I am concerned the biggest blight that can ever be put on a any footballer is to question their courage and this bloke performs not one but several acts every week that show he has no courage or heart.

Yeah, fair enough. That has always been my query on him too. I just thought that some of the railroading was going over the top - we have guys who have been shithouse all year.

100% agree :thumbsu:

Liam Anthony should not have been dropped. That is the truth.Yes he makes mistakes but f*** me he was alot better then a few of the boys last week.I want the boys to know No ONE is Safe.Could have bee our chance to make a statement and we squib it and the annoys me.

Most of the posters here calling for LA´s head is because he lacks conviction to a contest:-that moment where a player know he´s going to take a big hit. And from recent games Anthony has avoided that like proverbial "dog nuts". Other players have made crucial passing errors but that tied in with Anthony´s short steps to a contest means a spell in the maggoos. He has a chance to get back into the team. Benny warren is a testament to that.

LA has been in the middle of the traffic whenever i have the tv on, so dropping him is a bit disappointing. I can think of a few that should be dropped ahead of him.

If we dropped everyone who played shit, we would have about 3 players left in the side.

He doesn't deserve to be dropped for last week's effort, however, he is defensively a weak link in our midfield group and you only need 1 week link in the chain to get exposed when you reply on a zone or press.

2 years ago Liam Anthony was 23 and not a bad AFL player. Quite a find actually by Laidley. Unfortunately AFL football in last 2 years has gone WOOOOOOOOOOSHKA while Liam in mid 20s now has stayed at the same level and unfortunately that level is not going to get NMFC to a premiership or the top 8. I think by seasons end you will find Liam, Lindsay and Lachlan the 3 L's fishing in the same boat wondering what to do next with there lives and where they went wrong.

Lindsay will be but dunno if at North. Who knows about the other 2. I think Brad Scott is going to be pretty ruthless and relentless from here on in. The line in the sand has been drawn.

... just like people who make personal attacks on others on the Internet. You're gutless and this board would be better off without you. Grow up and support the club, coaches & players.
