Obviously Laidley is prepared to try anything to reignite confidence. He knows too well that the next 3-4 weeks will shape our season....

Considering the fairly signicant influx of new and young blokes into the 1's, and with what vlad said, I'm wrapt to read that they ARE down there today.

Gee, our lineup would have exactly the fight and mongrel we need if they were in their prime right now. They'll be a terrific influence on the boys........................

No, but I think it is fantastic.

All of those players I admire greatly, for differing reasons.
All were not 'gifted' footballers, but were very strong team and player orientated. especially Smithy and Jase.







Some are very good friends with Carey.

They could be in training for a charity State of Origin game that will be played here shortly.

Over the past few years the McGuiness McDermott Foundation has run a charity footy match called "The Slowdown" featuring stars of yesteryear.In the past it has been a Crows V Port match.

This year the game will be a State of Origin game between the Big V and the Croweaters.....Qualifications to play is that the player must have played state footy in the past.Not sure exactly who will be playing but Terry Wallace is coach of the Big V and Graham Cornes will coach the Croweaters.

Great to see Rossy Smith wearing his no.15 on Wednesday. The boys really looked to be enjoying themselves. I saw Macca having a few pings at goal. Looked like he could suit up on Saturday! Hasn't gone the way of the Kecca.
