not sure, I don't think so.
I recall Clarko saying in recent weeks that we've played 42 guys on our list this year.

This bloke is a mystery. Has had a very solid second half of the year, but has not been selected for a single senior game (not even as an emergency I think), despite Log going down and our defence needing help. I don't know what he has or hasn't done to not get a sniff, but for whatever reason it's clear the selection committee don't rate him and he won't be around next year. Baffling.

Added to his solid form, imagine how frustrated he'd be watching the backmen in our seniors spud it up week in week out and lack fitness and run. It's as though our selection committee thinks we're 20-2, not 2-20.

I wouldn't be surprised if another club picked him up for next year, even just for depth/insurance

He’s not even in the picture it seems.

Bonar, Young, Perez, Hall all got a look in this year and he just seemed off the radar.

A guess would be not having a standout elite attribute to contribute at AFL level.

He was playing ammos the same year he got drafted. Could be struggling to get on board with systems, or it could just be every standout attribute he has is 'for a tall guy' then you realise his body is nowhere near developed enough to play KPP.

Doesn’t quite intercept well enough to get a game as an kpd interceptor.

Doesn’t quite get enough quality fast rebounds to get a game as a rebounding defender.

Doesn’t quite defend well enough one-on-one to get a game as a lockdown kpd.

A bit like Young and Laz. Does a lot right and is generally reliable at vfl level, but just lacks something that holds them back from being a regular afl player.


He has been good the last month and he has considerably bulked up. So good luck to him.

In a year of bizarre team selections this bloke's non selection in the second half of this year has been just baffling.

I don't care if he's not Bruce Doull. Here's the rub - nor are any of the blokes getting games ahead of him.

If I was the lad's manager, three simple words - "run Kallan run" - as he did in that Adelaide game last year.

People can doubt him, and even bag him, on here but unlike 75% of his teammates, he's at least an athlete.

Surely if McKay goes and Logue is out for much of the season, this guy is at least given another year as depth. I hope he goes well on Saturday and based on what I saw last year he offered something different with his athleticism and ability to read the game.
