He lasted less than 2 minutes of AFL and then as a 22 year pulled a hammy on a fairly innocuous incident, like he wasn't gut busting sprinting when he pinged it.

If you watch the replay, it's a strange kick - he looks composed, sets up the kick and then rushes it a bit. I think he was expecting to take another step to balance, suddenly realised how much faster the game was, and had to kick quickly. On the slow-mo he's not fully balanced, and it looks a bit awkward. Definite hammy stretch.

Still - 2 kicks - 2 targets hit. Best Richmond player in years.

Where Bauer ends up long term probably depends on Gibcus.

If they try and succeed at making Gibcus into a key forward, then Bauer would slot in nicely as a Grimes replacement alongside Balta and Young.

Otherwise we probably need to persist with him up forward to see if he can partner Lynch.

have lynch, gibcus + bauer fwd line & in the meantime get ryan on roids so he can become our tim english
